SR20DETT here i come

Yes you heard it right. I just purchased a new car, 91' Fastback 240SX. The first mod i am doing is a whole motor and transmission swap to the SR20DETT motor. But most likely have a single turbo upgrade. My goal is to hit 600 whp by the end of next year. I am so excited. I still have the Mp3, just as my daily driver.

So when did the SR engines come with a twin turbo?

The DeT is a great engine to work with.

nice dood, my buddy has that engine in 98 240sx, hes awaiting his wiring harness but its sitting in his car right now. its so much bigger then the stock 240 engine. it looks so damn awesome. the funny thing is, the place he got it frmo did not take off the aftermarket ecu, so thats about a $1,000 product he got free. he got the engine inside the skyline bay, they clipped the car right at the windshield and just sent it like that. so he got some of the tore up dash of a skyline. i saw behind it in a chair and fake shifted in a half skyline, i felt so fast and furious.

i cant wait to see it when he finally gets his harness, btw, he got the engine with the ecu with a new clutch and flywheel for $2,600 shipped to his door. not bad eh?

I have some frends down in Milwaukee that own a tuning shop. They too have a 240sx with a Sr20 DeT motor. The car is silver with a Sparco blue interior.

The SR20 DET only came in the silvias, the Skylines engines are the RB series.

Very nice, I read somewhere where they said that the s13 fronts are becoming hard to find in japan. Since many of the cars are crushed.

hit my brother up his name is FC3Sboy or Chris @ SPD racing (760)-788-9842 he sells red top sr20det motors with trans ecu but no harness for $2100 or Black tops for $2250 and has a s14 clip coming in monday but couldn't give me a price quite yet. good luck and show us dyno sheet. This is my 2nd fav car next to the rx-7's, ahh the silvia.....

when ever i get my 510 thats the motor im putting in it. a red top. its going to be sweet. but i have to convice the wife to let me get the 510 first and you know how that can be.

the Skylines also run the VQ series as welll as RB (G35 and R35)

when you get your SR make sure you get a new cpu wireing harness-dont question just do.

AS FOR the 510, cant you try to sell the misses the "idea" that the 510 is a "cute" car and will be fuel efficient after you "modify it properly".

and add "it will pay for itself" unless shes engine and mod savvy

yea i meant SR20DET earlier. It is a 93 240SX Fastback, i going to try to do the whole S15 conversion.(I think they call it the strawberry conversion) Wish me luck. I start as soon as next week with my Blitz catback exhaust.
