SR2 Equivalent!

Hey guys, I have a Laser SR2, which is exactly the same as the SP20's so I thought I'd be able to come here from find some info in upgrades.


Im from Brisbane, my laser hasn't got much done for it, cept an exhaust, lowered, air-filter, and stereo upgrade.
One day, I want to get some kind of turbo upgrade.

yep all is identical, only real differences are in your body work, and the scattering of ford badges

my gf has a KN laser, which we have been doing mods to... everythign has been identical so far

which sr2 do you have?? the KQ series??

the sr2 only came in the kn from what i can gather...anither minor difference is the gear ratios (gearbox and final drive)

naa it would of been KQ
KN is leighs - BJ-1 equiv
KQ is chivans? bj-II equiv

well then it came in only kq (i dont keep up with laser classifications)

there was a KN2 as well or a KN2... gah, i can't remember things that are of little relevance to my self... maybe i should take my pills

Heheh... I have a KQ SR2

SR's/SR2's only came in the KQ series, KN's had the 'Laser R's .. i think they have same bodykit as the SR2's

with the SR2 everything is same except bodywork and some interior colours. Even has Mazda compliance plates .. (laugh) and most bits have 'mazda corp' written somewhere on them.

KQ = BJ-II because my folks have a Mazda 323.

Yes. im registered as Chivan on fl.com as well,
and i dont think there was a KN2.. went straight to KQ series

i'm sure that the VIN even says BJ in it....

yeah i've counted about 7 parts in the engine bay which say bits-a-missing
