SR motorsports & mazdaspeed cams

On the SR web site they have Mazdaspeed cam packages with intake and exhaust cams...i thought the exhaust cam was discontinued. Also when resetting my ecu it seemed that there is a timer on how long after u hook up the battery and when it starts....a couple minutes. Any info?

even if it was discontinued they likely have some in stock. there should be no "timer" from when you reset the ECU via disconnecting the battery - simply disconnect the battery and depress your brake pedal a few times to discharge any latent electricity.

no after reconnecting the battery...the car doesnt start right away its weird. After a couple mins it starts up fine and no problems afterwards.

Are those cams only for NA engines? Someone told me before that he was putting those in his MSP.

the cams will fit perfectly - both engines are fundamentally the same. supposedly the cams on a turboed engine will allow for better breathing and quicker spool up of boost.

dont trust what shane racing write. there is NO SUCH THING as a mazdaspeed intake cam. i pulled them up on this about this time next year...all of a sudden with out reply they changed it to j-spec intake cam....now it's back to mazdaspeed....hmmmmmmm

i've bought plenty of items from them with no problem whatsoever and they have always been of the highest quality.

i'm sure there are plenty of people out there that have never had any issues with them....but false advertising.........

www.corksport.com updated info about the cams.

The cams have been used in both NA and FI engines. Both net substantial horsepower gains.

SR is a good people. He's not a Protege expert though. RX-7's are his gig.
