Hi,
My 2002 Protege 5 recently developed a problem - there is a squeaky sound coming from left-rear tire area. Sound like brakes, but it is audible during normal driving (very loud sometimes) - the sound vanishes if I start to brake.
It happens only after driving for a while. If I leave the car for 5 minutes on a parking lot, and come back, the squealling will be gon. After another couple km it's back.
Drives me nuts, and when I take the car to a dealer, they can't hear it, because the car was sitting in front of dealership for couple of minutes so it's quiet now.
It seems that the easiest way to get that sound is to get on a highway. If it starts to squeak, it doesn't matter if I'm going a 100/h or 10/h - it's there.
The brake pads are still good. There is no rust on the rotors.
I'll appreciate any help!
Thanks!
