Mazda "Blue" Mp3
i was looking at pics at spool springs on a Mp3 but in the pics it looks like the back is higher than the front. What kind of springs out there give a even drop, where the front is dropped even with the back. I just want to get out of the coilovers because of the clunking noise and crappy ride. I really want springs but any pics will help, thanks alot.(bluemp3) (drinks) (silly)

Well you'll probably need something with more drop in the back than the front, or some coilovers. The Protege, by default, sits a bit higher in back.

The springs will settle .... the SPOOL springs will give the Mp3 a 2" drop all around .... the front just looks lower at first because of the weight. The back end will settle after 2 weeks or so.

I believe the Eibach springs give a lower drop in the rear I think it's like 1.4 in the front and 1.8 in the rear.... dont quote me on that.. but I'm sure its similar

I changed to spool springs from skunk2 coilovers, and the handling is awesome. I too was sick of the coilover pop, and the somewhat unstable feeling I got sometimes with the coilovers. My spools ended up settling at least another 1/2 inch after install, and time. (2thumbs)

YEAH I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE COILOVERS I HAVE THE GROUND CONTROL TO ME THEY ARE CRAPPY, IT JUST SOUNDS LIKE MY CAR IS FALLING APART. I JUST WANT SOMETHING WITH A GOOD DROP. ONLY THING THAT I LIKE ABOUT THE GROUND CONTROLS IS THE DROP. I WAS REALLY CONSIDERING THE GOLD LINE SPRINGS WHICH GIVE A 1.75" ALL THE WAY AROUND DROP OR THE SPRINT SPRINGS THAT GIVE 2.00" DROP ALL THE WAY AROUND. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH EITHER ONE OF THESE SPRINGS ON THEIR PROTEGE OR ANY PICS?

I ordered some Gold Line springs last Friday, will post pics when I get them installed. Once I get them anyway.
