springs vs coilovers

I was just on e-bay and found some Tein Springs for about $140 + $30 for shipping. But they don't state how much they will lower the car.

Loracroft, what is wrong with skunks? 2k3 Mazdaspeed, Y did you purchase new springs? Is there anything wrong with the skunks you had?
They ride like s***!! It looks nice slammed, but you'll be hitting the bumpstops. Very rough, bouncy ride. Seriously, the spring they use is abou the size of a soda can or maybe, like 24oz beer can. Very small, short coil. Compare that to a regular size spring.

Dont get Skunks. Hell, we've got some at our house if you want them...ask Ghost if he wants to get rid of them...he hated them like a passion. lol
Why do you think I got rid of mine?:)

Hi guys,

We are authorized TEIN's dealer, it will drop 2" in the front and 1.4" at the back. We also have our own lowering spring at USD$ 140.00 ( lower 1.75" at all corners ).

We guarranty that you will have a nice and "stock" feel ride with our lowering spring ( SparkcoTech ). Our spring is 100% Made in Canada products ( NOT Taiwan.... ).

Please do not put coil over....WHY????....come on, they will make a lot of noise, and a lot of problems.......

By-the-way...can anyone answer me why you put coil over????Will you adjust the height everyday, or everyweek, or once a month?????or you NEVER touch it once you have them installed???? Can anyone also answer me, how can an " universal " tpye coil over can be satisfy to all cars, and can also maintain the performance, stylish and comfor ride????? These coil over is a piece of sh*t...( my own opinion....) They only cause problem. I guarranty that those coil over will damage all your shocks within 1-2 month. Do you know that there is a limit for the shock's travel.

Good to hear from you 2K3. You seems to understand that coil over is all about.

That's right, those sh*t coil over is ONLY for show. If your MP5 is only for " sitting ", then please go ahead and install the coil over.

Peoples were thinking coil over means ( height adjustable ). Yes, but, can you tell me what is the height travel that you want?????

Some people thing they can put the car higher in the winter and lower to the ground for summer.......come on!!!!! Do you know the initial height measure after you install the coil over ( I don't care what brand name )??????? -1", or -1.5", or -2"?????????

That's right, they are already on the ( negative ) side, and usually at -1.5" and up. So, how can you jack up your car in the winter????? Most of the peoples will lower even more, like -2", -2.5" or even to the ground. Wait a minute!!! What about the shocks??? Do you think the shocks can handle that such lower ride?????

Hello sparkcoTech,

How much for the TEIN springs and How much for shipping to Califonia. Tell me how I can order them, :)

Russell

Since your in Florida, you probably dont have to worry about snow and bad weather, so i would reccomend springs. I bought coilovers because i can slam my car in the summer and avaid being a snow plow in the winter by raising it back up.

hey raddbug,

h&r springs are good, too. but for cheap eibachs, go to adventon.com. they're located in san dimas and before taxes, i got the eibachs for less than $200 shipped. since you are in CA, you're gonna have to deal with taxes, but if you're in socal, you won't have to pay shipping, so it's still less than $200 for springs. the eibachs drop it 1.75" in the front and 1.4" in the back if i remember correctly. can't go wrong with eibachs.

P.S. Which one, TEIN or Eibach is going to lower my car more? I would rather use the one that lowers it more! :)

The Teins will lower your car more than the eibachs. The only springs Eibachs make for the P5 is the pro kit.
