Sorry i'm out, working in nantucket is not an easy task. 4/ 10 hours a days i need the weekend to finish off the carpentry work at my house....

By all means drop by if you can. I drive about 2hrs for most of the NEPOC meets and they are definitely worth it. Trust me when you meet us, you'll be hooked.

With the numerous members who have owned a variety of Mazdas, you'll have a wealth of info ranging from detailing to replacing your entire suspension or even motor.

That's cool. If you can, make a new post letting us know a bit about yourself, your car, where you are from, etc.... I promise that your first NEPOC me will make you want to come back for more. They did it for me. Just watch out for the grumpy old men that is Mahhhhk (Mark) and Bruce.

Easy way? Just show up to meets and have fun. Hard way? We give you to James (Greenblurr93) and he initiates you in. It's not a pretty site. I heard it involves grease and some other things... Like feathers.

I might be diagnosing a strange 'clunk' my car just developed...

Try telescoping the steering wheel first. There's TSB for this. The following are a quotes from a thread on the 6club:

I got lucky and the clunk went away with the movement of the telescoping stearing wheel. Dealer will apply the super grease when they get it from Mazda

My clunk problems were solved when my dealer applied the new grease to the spline at the end of the column shaft. There's a TSB for this. Before, it clunked at angles, while turning, and over bumpy or uneven surfaces.

This simple fix may work for you. I've read in other threads that just telescoping the steering wheel several times worked. I hope that simple fix works for you.

Thanks for the input... if i had a telescoping steering wheel in my rx8 i would certainly try that (kiss)

Oops, my bad, lol. I usually stick to the MS6 sections of the various forums, and didn't even notice your car, haha (braindead . If you sell your car and pick up an MS6, and you get the same problem, try telescoping the steering wheel, lol. Glad you think you got it figured out
