i have recently decided that i want to remove the badges on the hatch of my car and have been looking to find paint to put over the bondo (better suggestions than bondo?) and i found my paint code which is 16w (black mica) in a spray paint can on paintscratch.com along with clearcoat. anyone have any experience with this type of thing?

went to my local auto part store and got 16w put in a spray can to paint my wing, the color is close and not very noticeable from far, but from close it shows that it is not exactly the same, I would suggest just blacking out your logos instead of shaving your trunk. That is the route I took!

I just ordered some paint from automotivetouchup.com to repair a gouge in the side of my car from a reckless parallel parker. My car is titanium gray. I'll let you know how it turns out.

if your going to shave your trunk emblems.....dont use spray paint to cover them its lacuer base with will react with other paints in the future......actually paint it with a solvent base paint at least...you will be much happier with the results.....you could weld the holes shut and grind them smooth then put a little bondo or even spot puddy over it but if a welder isnt an option then use some duraglass (fiberglass resin) to close the hole then finish with bondo....then cover with a solvent base primer.....block sand that when cured and top coat with color and clear...
this way will look best when finished
or
just paint ur emblems...lol
