SPOTTED: Mitsubishi EVO 8 ?????

Is it an RS? Althought they only came out recently so it can't be an RS...either way *squirt squirt* for my MF'ing dream car.

No it is the GSR, the RS has cheap black mirrors, no power windows, no stereo, no AC etc......and no wing.

Speaking of weird sightings...I saw an R32 Skyline in Woodbine. Right-hand drive and everything. Needed a change of undies.

Was it the white one? Guy works at Visions in Signal Hill... That's the first time I saw it.

No, this was kind of a gunmetal color. Looked very much like a race-only car. Had some very wide, very bald tires. Parked in a driveway without a plate on.

I saw the skyline tonight. Parked in front of the liquor store I looked over and seen a black skyline, had a bunch of stickers on it, sounded good. It was right hand drive.

Sweet man, I seen a white R32 RHD at the Visions I spoke of earlier.

Off topic but speaking of hotness, I had the privlege of getting destroyed my a G35 this morning on stoney. Anyone ever seen one in action...a G35 coupe punched it in front of me this morning on deerfoot as well, GAWD the exhaust note was scrum!

you can get those skylines from www.importconcern.ca they are located in Calgary and Edmunton

From what i've heard, EVO's don't pass the 8km/h crash test canada requires (compared to 5km/h for the US test ? if i remember correctly). To successfully import one here, you'd have to buy one, crash it, buy a 2nd one, modify the bumper, crash it again to show them it's now ok, buy a 3rd one and register it, so 1 EVO for the price of 3

but i guess you can find an inspection guy willing to take money and pass your car =\

Tried to import the Evo 8 myself, but as has been pointed out, no go in Canada as a result of its failure to pass crash guidelines (due to the FMIC). Also tried to go through back door by getting an R&D licence, but then I wouldn't be allowed to drive it on the street. Currrently, there are two that I know of in the country on the R&D licence, but they are not street-driven. One in Vancouver, and one in Markham.

Contacted Mitsubishi about whether the Evo 9 would come to Canada and was imformed that their research and development of the car had progressed too far for this to happen. First Evo coming to Canada that would be street-legal would be the Evo X in 2007.

Im pretty sure that the guy who owns the evo8 lives in scenic acres. Ive seen him a couple times on my way home during rush hour and he went into scenic both times.

R32's are weak sauce. There are so many R34's here in Sydney it's crazy. Besides..I like the R33 better anyways.

I saw a few R34 GTR here, S15's, white R33 which was teh sex!! and a few R32's. The Holden Commodore is a nice car as well.

Where on Stoney? I always see you and I think I saw you yesterday, but I wasn't paying attention for a G....

If anyone sees this guy, they should ask him how he managed to bypass the admissions restricitons.
