Well I have thought long and hard between the evo8 (30+ grand car)and the MSP (20 grand car)

And the upgradeability of the MSP and producing parts ect....check out this thread if you dont know what I am talking about.

http://mazdamp3.com/vbb225/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12036

Well I am going with the MSP since there are no upgrades for the car currently. I will be waiting for the 2003.5 MSP (grey) I heard this will be available in april (correct me if I am wrong)

Once the car is out it will take 2-3 weeks to produce and manufacture the parts. Another 2 weeks to test the parts out, R&D them and get some dyno figures up. So by middle MAY there will be a vast amount of parts for the MSP including
Intercooler hard pipe kits, Huge FMIC, BOV kits, upgraded down pipes, 2.5 inch turbo exhausts, fuel upgrades, and intake kits.
All of these will be available in a staged package as well for a slightly discounted price. As of know we dont know pricing but we are aiming to run 210 whp @ 9psi Thats 240 hp at the motor.

We will then work and see if upgraded turbo's are feasible and may introduce that in the market at a later time

We will also work on big break kits, stainless brake lines, test pipes, and currently have suspension available.

Glad to stay true to the mazda mark and am anxiously awaiting our 2003.5 MSP for some R&D:D

youre the best man, much appreciated. being the msp is such a great deal, i think you made the right choice. more "younger" people bought this car for its great value and its the same type who fix up cars. any ideas on prices or anything? thanks again

Stephen

Fantastic! But do you really think the MSP needs bigger brakes? I don't think it does...some good streetable track pads would be just fine.

But all the power goodies...mmm. :)

THe idea of making it is because noone has yet so - why not make it? Noone knows how hard a person is gonna work their MSP, especialy with 200whp ;)

Yes 200-210 whp is possible. 210 would be in the realm of 10 psi and we would have to utilize a boost cut defenser. I Was talking it over with my partner and to make things more econimical we will not offer a bigger turbo upgrade but upgraded internals on the current turbo. Its common knowledge in the DSM community that a turbo with a t25 housing can support up to 400 hp.

I will have to talk to my turbo gu,y but if the inside housings are ported and polished and bigger internals (turbine and compressor) are stuffed in the factory t25 housings we can make some serious hp without changing the manifold and turbo. It would be like a core trade type of deal.................a wolf in sheeps clothing so to speak. It would look tiny from the outside but in actuality would be a fire breathing turbo from with in. I am thinking we could stuff a pretty big sized t28 compressor wheel in there for big HP. This would be further down the line though. And probably would be released 6 months after the intial upgrades are released

There are lots of possibilities(laugh)

Cool deal Terry...Nice to see that you are really sticking to Mazdas and not looking at the nasty piece of poop Mistu.

Terry remember though the T25 in teh DSM does have a signifigantly larger compressor wheel than the MSP from my understanding....the T25 in the MSP brings new meaning to T-TooSmall

cool make one that can compete in the WRC maybe we'll be able to see it at speed channel
I wish!:D

SPOOLIN IS GOD!!! HELL YEAH!!!
I wouldnt go that far...lol:p

Yeah I am glad, I was feeling guilty of thought that I was turning my back on Mazda.

Thats why we will offer core exchanges to upgrade the cartridge of the turbo with a nice fatty compressor;)

OH BRING IT!!!!! of course with my ghetto FMIC you will probably beat me since you have that nice PWR one. I have a pretty large blackstone with 76% effieciency though so it should be close....lettme lean that sucker out for a run!!!

The DSM t25 is way to small to make any real power with.
If the MSP's t25 turbo is smaller than that is scary.
A DSMs T25 would be lucky to see 280 hp.

You guys are forgetting that I am not talking about the stock t25 on the eclipse or MSP. I am talking about a t25 hybrid. Basically a frankenstiened turbo that has a t25 housing that is ported out to except a much larger compresor and turbine. For comparisons sake something along the lines of a .62 turbine t3 and super 60 compressor wheel stuffed into the t to small housing.
This turbo will be good for 400hp at 18 psi. We will never see 18 psi but the efficiency will greatly improve over the stock msp turbo.
