Just a heads up for you, that is not the Speed source RX8, It is the #40 Dempsey Racing(Hypersport) RX8...I would know, I worked on that car all of last summer

Ok so today I went and bought my carbide cutting bits and some stones and I started the port work on the intake ports...

Well I got them done quick but now it will just be some time to et them nice and smooth.. They are about 80% done.. All the cutting is done.. just more with a soft stone..

anyways as u can see on the front/rear irons there is not much to remove..
on the intermediate irons WOW.. thats was alot of cutting..

I used a S5 T2 medium street port template form www.PineappleRacing.com

i want to do a full 13b-re swap into mine, but i don't know if i will ever do it. we will see.

the front iron could have been done better.. and I may get it all cleaned up if I got a way to.. the ear iron is great too..

Also after selling my last engine gasket kit.. I bought MY KIT today lol...

How light is it? And also, I can't recall, but are you doing something with any high overlap on the motor like a bridgeport?

and no.. just a LARGE street port.. no bridgeport here...

OK so yesterday I ported my exhaust housings.. I got about 90% done and ran out of sanding stones lol... so within the next few days I will finish up my last housing..

I also put the freeze plugs in the coolant jackets on the rotor housings yesterday..

all I need is for the following to show up.

FD frt/rear stationary gears (on the way)
RE lim/uim/tb and elbow (on the way)
SS brake lines (on the way)

I dont think I have anything else in limbo right now.. I do need to decided on either SOLID motor mounts or to use the mazdaspeed competition mounts or the Banzai-racing urethane mounts.

maybe I have the terminology wrong, but are you saying the exhaust housing, or are you saying a third rotor housing??? =D

exhaust port.. there is 2 rotor housings..

I have 1 all done I am about 90% done with the other just need to polish it and finess it with a sanding stone.
