Spool Turbo hard pipes on MSP

So it looks like you stuck something behind the pipe that goes to the throttle body, where its hitting the brake master cylinder, you plan on fixing that somehow?
I got the same thing except for the fmic and i've tried so many things , like making it shorter a bit, and making a little dent in it but still when I take off slow it hits it and I can feel it in the clutch pedal (since it's on the same rack).
Does it bother you yet?

Thanks,
Vik.

The pipes used to hit so hard and it would scare the crap out of me. I put my boost controller on and I thought my car was going to blow up when I heard the noise. So i did some researching and sure enough it rubs slightly up against the master cylinder and creates vibration. So all I did was put a piece of stryophone in between the pipe and the master cylinder. So far it's worked great. There's no more vibration and no noise when I floor it.

yeah, I tried that too, but it'll bite through it after a while, I wonder if spooling has a better solution for this, I pm'ed him but no answer.

Double up the styrophone. As long as its stuck in between there and it can't move then it will stop the vibration. I've had it there for a month and it hasn't really done it.

i put those same pipes on another members car . when using the stock air box the pipe would hit the master. he then put the injen intake on and gave more room to adjust the pipe and no hitting now.

when adjusting the pipe, did you pull the back out a bit where the throttle body connects to the pipe? cause I tried that way and it kept coming off under boost since you don't have that good of a seal. I also had injen cai but ended up chopping it up, cause
1. my pipes were not built for it (forgot to mention i had a cai)
2. i hate that turkey really bad.
And i'm not sure how safe my filter is downthere from all the water and rain we get here in northwest. And I just find it hard to believe that a cai like ION's would give 24whp at certain rpm. I think the stock setup is pretty good. Now I have a custom, kind of like a sri and cai. Works good.

little off topic,
sorry,
Vik.

sorry i dont remember how i adjusted it. been some time. but i do remember when we removed the the plastic pipe from the air box it gave alot more room to adjust.

here is a pic

I have the HKS SSQV. I was told it was the best. I also have the HKS turbo timer, which is sweet. I have the Greddy Profec B Spec II electronic boost control for now, and will have the Greddy Evo 2 exhaust if we can even convince them to ship them from Japan. They use my car for the prototype, though. I was told the HKS BOV sounds better than any other. Now...can someone please help me find hard pipes to mount this thing in for less than $400. That is all I have seen, and I can't afford this now that I just spent all of this other money on the EBC and other stuff. Any help would be really, truly, appreciated. Thanks very much! Nic
