Spool Turbo bugs? (56K beware)

I paid $3,995 for the complete kit. I did not have to spend more money. I think it is worth it, because it comes loaded, Ball bearing turbo, blow off valve, fuel management system, cast iron manifold, aluminum castings, huge intercooler, etc. and the parts fit perfectly.

Yes it is an F10 haltech module. It comes already programmed and only had to connect 8 wires to the stock computer harness. It came with a pre-assembled engine electric harness.

My car runs perfect!!!!

ok well what kind of boost are you pushing?
can you go into some specifics about the module. does it control ignition timing, fuel etc?
and how much boost can it correctly monitor
thanks in advance:D

i dunno, that thing looks awesome with all the stuff it comes with...including the computer

i like the haltechs the f10 is only for fuel control thru various inputs.
no ignition control. just curios to see how much boost the haltech was programmed to see.
its a great unit. we are using some thing similar but it will control ignition too.
the e6k is nice for ignition and fuel control on the Mp3 but i dont know if this guy has tried it yet.

What kind of turbo does the kit use? The site also said that it makes a turbo up-grade kit for the MSP. I wonder how many horses it pushes as compaired to stock?

for real....all of a sudden HIBOOST comes out with this product and catches everyone off guard....GOOD FOR THEM!

My car is running with 7 psi of boost. I have raised it to 10 and the difference is very noticiable, however it tends to detonate just a bit in hot days. The dyno test was done at 7 psi. I am planning to get the larger 2.5 inch exhaust and the race pipe. The HiBoost guys say that I should get 240 WHP @ 10 psi.

The F10 manages only fuel and it is pre-programed to 15 psi. That means that you can raise your boost up to that level if race fuel is used.

It uses an IHI ball bearing turbo and the response is awesome.

LOOKS nice, however, we need to see how this kit is handling the fuel?
I sent them an email asking if they sell the module alone.

igdrasil i can tell you now from some prior experiance with the f10 and f5 that it is a great unit. there are also many otherslike the link that terry has on his.
the good thing is that this company has already programmed the values into this unit for you so its kind of "splice and play"
anyway if you were to use it then you woul have no need for the vortech FMU . but it will probably set you back about a $ 800
the only thing is it has a great feature which also makes it a bad feature. it anly controls fuel and to compensate for detonation at high boost levels or really hot ambient air the fuel is just dumped in instead of retarding timing. thats the only drawback
:D

It hits that water thing that has a hose going to or from radiator, its doesnt even fit tight, it just dont fit. I will try modify it and take pictures of it.

I will take care of it if i can and the dump pipe.

You need to switch the radiator outlet upside down and get flex radiator hose and snake it around. I know Beavis and Kooldino are utilizing a Beavis block which keeps the thermostat housing in the stock position and extends it out more.

We will be reproducing these Beavis designed blocks in the near future.....thanks for sending me one Beavis!
I will try to get some pics for you with the housing flipped and hose rerouted.

yes pplease...I was going to switch that thing tomorrow (hand). Thats why Im going to post pictures.

pictures are worth a thousand words

I been searching the site for them, no luck. So I posted cause Im working this now.

Thanx spoolin.

Ignore my email unless you have any picture to send me.

I will try tro get you a pic tommorow in the morning before I leave.......if not PM deepcover6 he has plenty of pics:)
