has anyone who has the msp/mp3 clunk been to the dealership for a fix with spool springs or some other lowering springs on your car?

did they give you s***?

my dealer has already seen my msp with the clunk and replaced the sway bar and endlinks, but i dont want them to say too bad next time i go in in 6 months or whenever it comes back, and just blame my new springs

thansk

I will find out this week. If they tell me they wont fix them i will just get some urethyne ones and do it myself. Its not like the new bushings will last long anyways. I hopefully will go to the dealer monday. I put off putting my springs on for so long bc the clunk, but then got new bushing and they only lasted a week.

if they say it is the cause you should just try a different dealer or a different tech guy, they bulls*** a lot on warranty work just so they wont have to do it. THey woudln't replace a thrown belt on my car because they said I "over revved it", which is a bulls*** cop out answer for peopel that don't about cars. Fortunately I know that's crap and just talked to a nicer guy at the same place, and he gave me no problems.

sooo.........havent talked to the service manager yet, but I talked to one of the techs at my dealership and they said theyw ould install my spool springs, and that they wouldnt give me a hassle about fixing my clunk with the new springs.

yaaay! lets see if this actually pans out tho :)

are they going to be able to use the OEM alignment specs for me or will they need to mickey mouse it or get specs from spool for alignemtn?

the clunking issue is documented as a tech service bulletin even BEFORE you guys lowered your ride...... so it wouldnt really matter..

where is this service tech bulliten, so i can show them it was a problem before i lowered it?

Thanks! I never even noticed the clunk. I do now though come to think of it, there's a dip at the bottom of my street, and when i make a right turn into the dip it clunks. I usually have my system up to high to notice :p
