I want to get thie stock/factory spolier put on my mazda3. I found a website posted here, spolierdepot.com has it for $209+shipping. I'm kinda afraid to install it myself, but i do have experience with that kind of stuff. The install looks pretty easy, I'd just HATE drilling holes into my new car hah. Anyone know what it would cost to get a pro to install it? Also anyone installed their own and have comments please speak up :)

Thanks.

I just installed an aftermarket spoiler on a friends civic about a week ago. It's fairly simple and anyone with moderate know how could do it. Does the spoiler come with a template or anything of that sort? If so it would be a breeze. I can understand the quezy feeling you get in your stomach when you think about drilling into your car, but just take your time and don't get into a rush and you will be fine. If it really makes you uneasy then go ahead and take it to get professionally done, in the end maybe the cost will out way the risk or even the other way around.

I bought my spoiler off Ebay ($174 with shipping) and it came with some plastic strips that you use to help place the spoiler....it was very easy and I'm happy with the results of my self-install. It's easier than you think, if you wanna save the money.

Yeah I have my $179 oem look alike(Painted) from ebay too but I'm not that good at drilling holes in a trunk nor did I wanna learn on my own car...Dealership wanted to charge $190 regardless if it was theirs or not...I went to a local shop and $110 later with me watching it was installed flawlessly. You can do it yourself if you wanna cause as stated above the tape down templates were included. If you take that route use 2 people! 1 person is holding the spoiler with plastic template inserts inserted into bottom of spoiler while 2nd one is taping the edges of the templates.

Just an update, my dealer wanted $670 for the spoiler+install :o!
Self install is looking pretty good to me right now...
