I got pulled over yesterday for doin like 85 in 55. I gave the sheriff a PBA card which I got from a Chief of Police in a local munipicality. The cop wrote me a warning. My question is How long does that stay on record? New Jersey.

who cares? as long as you stop speeding it will be fine. you got lucky because in illinois a ticket for going 30+ means a possible 30 day license suspension and traffic school, which blows ass

pba card?? wth is that??
You get a PBA card when you donate money to the local police...or have a cop in your family or as a good friend...they come in very handy!

I know I am not going to stop speeding. So, my dilemma is this . Next time I get pulled over for speeding it does not matter what card I show I still get a ticket. So anybody know the answer to my quest.?

PBA=Policeman's Benevolent Association...Don't all officers and their family members (at the very least) have one?

Oops...just looked at the ebay link. I always thought P meant "Policeman's" and not "Patrolmen's."

I think this depends on the area and the cop (trooper; local) but if i recall its 90 days. I have never had a written warning before.
I bet Jersey_EMT would know.
I can ask my Uncle later on tonight if you dont get an answer by then.

wow....so basically you can buy your way out of trouble???

anyone else see anything wrong with this? Kobe doesn't! Neither does OJ!! I bet Michael Jackson doesn't either!

Jesus...if you're going to speed, at least keep it 10-15 miles within the limit. If you got pulled over for doing 30 over you are looking at a 200+ ticket including suspensions and the sort.

I never get tickets, I Speed nonstop, And I don't think I can stop, either.
You'll stop pretty quick when you cause an accident or get your license supsended. Hopefully you don't kill anyone in the process.

I have had my licanse suspended and I dont think i m gona cause an accident. Thanx for tha advice though

I didn't give you any advice. I simply said I hope you don't kill anyone. And somehow, that didn't surprise me when you said you've had it suspended already...Hell, you probably drove while it was supended too, huh?
