okay so things have finally come together and final dates are set! But one thing is still on the ball...

Okay so pics! i got my new rims put on yesterday, they are 3.5 msp rims wrapped in 205/40/17 TOYO Proxes T1-R. These are a nice tire i really like them.

Basically i want my p5 to be a msp5. I want a good clean look and i love most of the parts from the msp so im using a lot of those parts.
Okay so for the performance build some things have been added and some changed. But the car goes to protege garage on may 12!!! And the following parts are going to be made/installed:

MSP Manifold
MSP T25 turbo(rebuilt and upgraded plastic internals to brass by MODERN PERFORMANCE)
ATP WGA running 8-10 psi
MSP INJEN cold air intake
Custom FMIC
CORKSPORT 2.5'' downpipe
HKS SSQV BOV
custom 3'' exhaust with 2 vibrant resonators, 1 vibrant cat and vibrant muffler
Blitz full auto turbo timer
S.S afc v2 (also getting tuned for my setup)
AEM widband o2 guage
boost guage

I already have the:
rims on ;)
AWR front motor mount
MSP shifter
MAZDASPEED pedals

Going on after the engine is built:
MSP clutch
racing beat springs

Still debating if i want to get these or not:
h20/meth injection
upgraded fuel system

YEAH! Okay now for the crappy part, as you can see from looking at the first picture i posted, my front bumper is jacked up. I rearend ppl twice...my bad (freak) And i have a new msp front bumper so i wont have any ugly side markers, and a 3.5 msp front lip both of which are getting painted for free by a buddy of mine at work. There have been numerous problems....first the paint didnt match so we had to stip them down and start all over, then his shower starting leaking...and its on the 2nd floor so obviously he needs to fix that and fix the damage it caused. But i will have a msp front end/lip!

yeah that should be all the information i have for now!

Don't use the Racing beat springs.....You're rear will sag...Espelirs..FTW...

Maybe you should re-size your pictues. I'm having a hard time grasping your set-up because the pictures.....well.....they look terrible. It's way to big and grainey.

Good choice with the Toyo Proxes BTW.

The rear will sit a little lower than the front...Due to the weight of the hatch...This has been done by a few people and they always seem to move to P5 specific springs for an even drop.

Other than that...You're looking good...just thought I'd point that 1 thing out before you install...

Oh and when you upgrade your clutch....definitely throw the LSD in there as well....

yeah they were taken via a cell phone camera...2mp but still, ill have to borrow my dads camera to take some sweet shots of the car soon and parts

oh, nvm then that was a hard acrynom!!! haha umm its already done and sitting in my room, it was a broken t25 with 5,000 miles on it. Nick took it apart to find out what was wrong with it, neither the guy i bought it from nor myself knew. It was the rear bearing gage, it "took a hit" in technical terms, and the bearing gages were replaced with new brass ones, not the crappy plastic parts that they are in the older turbos a.k.a the stock t25's in the msp. So its not really a performance upgrade, but more of an "insurance" upgrade so it wont crap out on me. Total for fixing it, cleaning it, polishing it, priming it for use was about 400 shipped

Cool. I am looking for a extra t25 to have refurbished so I wont have any down time if I have to replace my stock unit. I will give him a call and see what type of upgrades that can be done. There is also limit engineering in Arz. that does the same thing.

ahhh i see, mp has some mad crazy upgrades for the t25, larger compressor fins...and super big psi makers...and flux capacitors! haha but seriously i looked into there upgrades for the t25 and they are far to extreme for my build project ;)

hmm not sure...i may just sell it and get something else...but the install quotes for a clucth is outrageous!!! ive got 600 from the stealership, and 500ish from 2 other tranny places ive called soo far.....not cool

yea definitely a pain. i would recommend it though. may just be putting it off if you don't do it now.

okay so ive heard the mazdaspeed clutch is rated to 240 ponies...is this true? Cause i have an appointment on tue to install my clutch unless i get a good amount of info that dissuades me from it

RE: racing beat springs

I have em on my car.

For me, its not that the back is too low (actually its where I want it), but the front sits too high. Car handles quite well, but it does look a tad funny. If I could do it again, I would have used p5 specific springs, but it's not so bad that its worth the trouble and $$$ to swap them out.
