Speed3 at 465whp!

anyway, if he really does have that kind of power to the ground, which I find hard to believe, I see two problems:

1. there is no way he'll be able to put it down well unless he drives around on slicks at all times. I can spin easily and I'm mostly stock.

2. he's gonna throw a rod through the hood.

rod through the hood isn't as bad as your making it sound.....

but how do you know hes gonna throw a rod through the hood? most mzr motors have blown at 3500rpm under part throttle

I don't know that he is going to, of course, but it is very likely, given the MZR track record. Think about it.

I don't see where it was mentioned that this is on a stock motor. Also the 330whp dyno is low for 20psi on a gt35. I'm close to that on my little vf-22 at 20psi.

please don't be so naive as to compare completely different motors.

thats what i'm doing, like i said most mzr motors blow at 3500rpm under part throttle that is the track record. so how can you say with "likely certainty" that it wil blow a rod?

how many of those were completely stock cars? wouldn't you say that you increase the odds of something catastrophic happening to your block when you add parts that make the explosions more intense? it stands to reason that the answer is yes.

but how do you know that for sure?(hah) j/k..lol acutually true it may cuase it to get more lean wich ammplify the lean prob around 3k

Um well... smartass if he's a 2.3l 9.1:1 and 20psi on a gt35 shouldn't that make more power than a 2.0l 8.5:1 at 20psi on a vf-22. Simple math!?

Something was going majorly wrong to only pull 330whp at 20psi...not that 465whp sounds realistic either...

I agree with you shane. something is not right in here...

unfortunately, in real life, there are more variables than displacement, compression ratio, and boost pressure.

I haven't read the whole thread but it's on the stock MS3 block FOR SURE. It's an MS3 that was imported to Columbia. I wonder how much power it would make at OUR elevation (Florida). Remember this isn't just ANYONE tuning the car reason behind all the power. I don't think they are gonna post tuning tricks anytime soon either.

why would hiboost lie about this, they are a company with a reputation to hold to, hiboost themselves posted about this dyno, its completely possible, i think most mzr motors blow because of them staying lean while hitting boost, but also this is really optimistic right now well see

Although I can't see this vid due to firewall crap... I think having 465whp on tap is insane...gives me a hard on! lol

During a run to Julian, CA one weekend morning with another MS3, and a couple of regular MZ3s; one of the MZ3 guys had a buddy in a black Si...not sure what he had all in it, but it was boosting 22psi, and that s*** hauled ass....

Playing on the highway side by side, he took off like a bat out of hell; to hear that turbo spooling like it did, was pretty sick to say the least.

BYAAR!! lol

I see someone beat me to posting the videos to this site. The 465 whp and 477 whp were achieved using a tuning software, pump gas and stock internals. More info to come. Please see http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123695737

I think this is something to be talked about in THIS thread Owen. Remember that the other threads focus is on SuperMazda3 and SuperProtege. This is a strictly MS3 related section where it may see more interested parties.
