I'm a lot more cautious now, especially behind elderly/slow drivers because they bake too much and too hard.

(hahaspit) Yeah, they really gotta lay off the hash.

stupid drivers kill, not nowing the limits of your car kills, pushing it at the wrong time kills, not paying attention kills, anything can happen at anytime you just cant go around worrying about it, personally the guy is a dumass for swerving around a cat and risk his familys life, and the dumass walking and texting across a street? come on most of this vid is stupid people not racing or drivers

Driving in the US will continue to be very risky as long as the hardest part of the driving test remains 'Parallel Parking'.

And with a traffic code aimed a Revenue Enhancement and Political Showboating instead of getting the really dangerous drivers off the streets we get lots of easy to make and collect on 'speeding' tickets and very few 'inattentive driving' tickets.

The typical US Driver blunders along, blissfully unaware, until they find something to hit.

Which is why the bikers say "Loud Pipes Save Lives".

I highly recommend advanced driver training. At LEAST take the basic defensive driving course (Contact the National Safety Council or AAA for information). In many locations you can save a couple of bucks on your insurance in addition to your life.

Many Racing Schools also offer street survival training. Again, A Good Thing.

Thank you for your attentions.

I couldn't agree with you more!

A simple read through the newspapers over here gives you the same impression when you read the "statements" from "the transit officials"; most of the time the blame is on speeding, and ocassionaly drunk driving. They're completely ignore the fact that most streets/roads are poorly designed or maintained, that the speed limit is a joke, the concept of driver training is a laugh, etc. It's much more convenient to make "speed" the enemy, and serve their agenda(and budget) with speeding tickets.

I rear ended a Saturn in my Mazda 323 about 2 days after I got my license. Was going to get my insurance the next day, so didn't have it yet and forgot my license at home. I was lucky the damage to the Saturn was almost non-existant and the woman ended up not making an issue out of it. The scare taught me to be a LOT more careful when driving, and playing by the rules. Man... every time I think how much that could have cost me I shudder...

btw, I got my licence 2 years ago and unless something changed since then, there is no parallel parking in the test lol. not in california atleast.... just driving the speed limit, one lane change each way, a right turn, a left turn, backing up 10 feet next to a curb, and pulling back into the dmv... I agree, retarted
