Speed 6 Turbo Seals

Hey Guys, Just got mine back from the dealer tonight because mine smoked. Bone stock 06 GT with 43K miles on it. Dealer did a leak down test yadda yadda. was leaking like 60% through cylinder 2 I think. They replaced the turbo. I have always ran Mobil 1 full synthetic. It's definitely not the oil. It's just bad seals. This dealer hadn't replaced a speed6 turbo yet because of this problem, so hopefully they did it right. Oh well my warranty is up soon so hopefully this turbo will last a while longer.

Hey guys...scratch that, today the car smoked worse than ever. 2 days of smoother running and then back to garbage. Sent it back to the dealer. They're thinking motor. I'll keep you guys informed.

Got a call from the dealer on Friday...They want info on every oil change it's ever had. Lucky for me I was able to get that info. I'm guessing my rings are toast

07 Speed 6, smoke at 4500 miles on completely stock car. Dealer replaced no questions asked and turbo replaced in about a weeks time to include all required testing and turbo shipment. I now run Royal Purple Syn Oil, PG test pipe, Mazdaspeed CAI, Forge BPV and Corksport 3' Duals with no returning smoke and now have 12000 miles.

Guys, Mazda is now replacing my motor because they feel the oil leaked in from the turbo gummed up my piston rings and they burned up...whatever that means

2006 Spee6 with 20k on the odometer and bone stock. Crazy smoke today.

I let it idle for a bit, while I was getting a loose dog. First time ever, it smoked like crazy. So I guess its dealership time :(.

Hopefuly I can repeat the problem, I will just drive on the highway and then let it idle for a few minutes before I go in.

The only time you should worry about idling your car before turning it off is when you come off the highway or race track. For example, if you gotta pee and you pull off at a rest stop...hold it for a few seconds to let the oil cool down before shutting it off. In just about every other case you'll be fine since driving around parking lots and neighborhoods won't heat the oil up enough for there to be a problem.

I've got 20K on my '06 and I don't have any oil issues...but then again I don't let my car idle for 15 minutes.

after getting off the freeway, letting it idle for a quick fiver = smoke screen.
the funny thing is, the service writer saw the blue smoke coming out of my tail pipes and commented on it...
here i am with no repair or replacement, and sent home with a reflash...

they are now replacing my turbo under waranty. it's a good thing i saved all my 'do it yourself' oil change receipts.
