Spec -V Falls Hard to the Protege5

I thought you were already done posting here 3 posts ago. I am not trying to make enemies with the specv people, I was playing around. (HENCE THE J/K) but someone had aproblem with it and I had to put you in your place, just like the specv I raced this past week-end.(owned)

Dude If you're on this Board still, you don't know jack about our car's. All you can say is "This that blah-blah-blah" excuses, excuses,excuses. Dude you have (CVTC) contionious variable timing control. None of the MP3's or p's have any kind of Vtec, VVT-li, CVTC, or Zetec. All we have is our good looking MP3 car with our bad A$$ system. you're saying you don't want to run a F/I car but you'll run the N/A MP3 and P'5, sure why not. As long as you shift gears before 5100rpms then maybe you can start talking some SH^%. If you're gonna make a excuse saying it's not fair to race a N/A vs. F/I. Then race a Stock MP3 vs. you're SpecV, as long as you shift at 5100rpms every gear " and i'll guarantee that you'll lose without using your (CVTC).(bluemp3) ZZZOOOOOOMMM.
 
Hey Guys Sorry for the Delay...

Anywayz..It was a good time...I doubt i will go all the way to philly just to race...If anyone wants to race...I am more than willing to meet up w/ you in my area..Or even to take it to the track...I live 20 Minutes from Englishtown Race Track...The guy i raced in the Spec-V was cool as hell about getting his ass handed to him...Plus we raced in a parking lot (b/c of the large amount of cops that were out there) I will post a few pics tonight!!

Anyone wants to come down and check it(the Racing) out Email Me..and i will do my best to keep you informed of where and when...Last weekend..there were 200 Imports Racing down By the Air Port on Dover Rd.

Ohh Yeah...About the guy having a chip...He said that he has one..I really don't know all that much about Spec-V's so i believed him...

It was a fair race...He knew what i had under the hood...and he was very cool about it!!

I am having problems w/ my digital camcorder..it lets me take pictures but no videos..anyone know any programs other than USB MEDIA 2.0??? I am running Windows 98..

Man o man. I hope that guy is the exception and not the rule when it comes to Spec owners around here.

My guess is that a Spec vs a P5 on NOS would be a drivers race. Did you happen to know what rpms the Spec-V launched at? Launching over 2000rpm especially on the stock motor mounts will cause hella wheel hop and very slow 60ft times for the V. I'm glad to know he was able to eek out one win vs. the laughing gassed / turbo'ed P5. :)

As the other guy posted, there is no "chip" for the Spec-V. The ECU has not been cracked yet.

Yes, intake and exhaust will bring hp up to the 150-155 range at the wheels. He is missing the most important bolt-on for the V though - header. 11-15hp @ the wheels can be freed up just by replacing the stock manifold/pre-cat combo.

By the way he is not an indication of all SE-R and SPECV drivers!!! You have Tools that drive every kind of car out there. So do I apply to that statement? The answer is no. I have both an 03 SE-R and Protege5. The problem is the forums for SpecVs have kill stories and theres alot of stories about MSP vs SpecV and so on. So when a MSP owner goes to a other car forum and brags about killing that car and smacking about it. People get defensive like we're seeing right now on this thread.

Wassap guys? Just want to say that I drive an 03 Spec-V and that I love my car. I've noticed a lot of hate against the Specs on this board. I hope that not all of you are like that. I love the MSPs and the Protoge5s. They look bad as hell and run good too. SunburstSpecV is being a dickhead, disregard him. Just don't rag on our cars. By the way, I will race anything. Got a F/I Protege or somethin? Bring it to Atlanta and I'll run you. I'll probably lose, but I'll run. Anyway, just thought I'd show a little respect from the Spec-V community. Keep it real.

Note: There is no aftermarket chip out yet for the QR25. That Spec owner was talking out his @ss. Some people have no sense.

Another Note: I love MSPs and other Mazdas which is why I joined this board. Just so I don't get flamed by you guys.:)

that's funny because the mods don't allow kill or race stories on the b15sentra boards, which i think is stupid.

THe b15sentra forum sucks theres a lot of flaming and assholes. I'm on the www.thevboard.com which is a lot better board.

P.S. That spec-v i raced now has pulleys on it...it's allot faster...i think if we race again..he will beat me..but not by much...

It shouldn't be a lot faster. The pulley on the Spec-V only ads 4-5 WHP. And that's after the ECU gets used to it after 4 days.
 
You guys need a better parking lot, i does'nt look like much room for you guys..
 
How does the 2.0l take to the NOS? I sell the ZEX kit at work. I had a customer install it on his 99 M3 with 30k miles and he blew the motor up. When I was working at the Mazda dealer we had a rash of Proteges with NOS kit that needed their motors replaced. And of course the warranty was voided. Just be careful using it on the street. You all should just go to the drags and race each other.
