Spark Plugs

What's the generally accepted time for iridium spark plugs on the CX-5?? I've always gone with replacing them at 100K miles, whether they need it or not :-)

FSM & owners manual says every 75K miles.

Here is a list of spark plug PN's from the FSM : PE01-18-110, PE02-18-110, PE5R-18-110, PE5S-18-110

I'd say that it can vary. My GTO was sputtering and when I pulled out an iridium plug, it was missing the iridium. All the plugs had huge gaps after 40K miles. I'd say that with the CX5, check the gap at 50k miles, you can even just check one. You can check them again at 75k miles. Be careful as that iridium tip should not bee touched; it is fragile.

From my experience with LS and most new gen Chevy motors in general is the best spark plugs for them are factory AC Delcos. Everything else sputters or hesitates after 20-35k miles. They just always seemed to work the best and longest lasting with ACDs. What works for one type of engine may not for another.
