Spark plug gap

2008 Mazda cx9 grand touring
Hello I am replacing my spark plugs and went to check my plugs gap, in another post on changing the rear plugs and replacing the phleum intake gaskets they say to gap at .051-.057, the plugs came pre gaped at .045 and the three old ones that I pulled out range between .038-.049. Does anyone know the proper gaping?
I have a 2008 cx-9 grand touring. Thank you

The service manual that I have for both 2007 and 2008 says 0.051-0.057. I also ordered spark plugs recently, but haven't installed them yet. I will measure the gap and let you know.

Ok, my new spark plugs are gapped to about 0.055. My gauge only goes to 0.045, but I used a digital caliper, and it looks like 0.055. They are Motorcraft, in Mazda packaging.

BUT, NGK web site says 0.044 for both '07 and '08, while DENSO web site says 0.044 for '07 and 0.032 for '08 and up.

So, at this point I guess you are no closer to the correct answer :-(
