Sound recording of the MazdaSpeed Exhaust

Sounds great in person if you want a exhaust that gives a slight agressive tone without drowning you out during everyday driving.

Had another file called MazdaSpeedExhaust that I didn't want to overwrite.
So I just called it MazdaSexhaust...

That or the fact I haven't seen my girlfriend for almost three weeks could be screwing with me...

Interesting but...

Mine doesn't sound anything like those 2 that were posted. Mine is straight up LOUD and really DEEP! I was helping a friend move this weekend and we had to tie the hatch open to carry some long stuff, a smal couch thing, and when I would accelerate I thought my ears were going to explode. It was so loud we couldn't talk while accelerating because it was too loud and hard to hear.

Oh yea, did I mention that mine has a cat-back attached to it and I have a AEM short ram. So nice of the dealer to install that cat-back and intake when they were doing the mods to my car. I will try to get a recording so you guys can hear it.

Just wanted to say that those sound tame compared to mine. I have set off car alarms from about 10 feet away.

Yep you have a cat back not just a axle back so yes it will make a difference in sound.

The only time this is loud is in the higher rpms, but during normal driving its a mild noise.
Course people looking to upgrade exhaust should expect some more noise than a stock muffler, otherwise don't upgrade.

Yep, I'll try to get under there and measure the pipe so I can tell you guys what size it is. I don't even know. The dealer did it before I bought the car. It came with whatever it is under there. I've had mine next to a P5 with just the axel-back and mine growls much louder.
