Where I went I told them about you guys doing this and he said it would be stupid to cut into the pipe like that and not do a 1 piece. You are breaking up the pipe with pipes and different pieces welded together, no loss for me just better choices.
If your shop dont do mandrel bending then I would not remove the whole pipe because it has alot of bends in the back where it goes over the axle.If he thinks you should remove that and replace it with a standard bent pipe then hes crazy.Just welding a 2.5" pipe in the place of the resonators dont cause any problems. You seem to be saying that exhausts should not have any welds because if you are using all the same size pipe I dont know what your point is...

They do mandrel bending but he said he cant make anything that would help performance in any way compared to stock. He said a mandrel bent system he can do with out resontaors would just make it loud but thats all I would be paying for.

On the other hand he said to cut out sections and weld pipe in there is not the best way to do it and at that point he suggests not touching it or going the full one piece pipe.

Your car so its all good if you like having miss matched sections of piep welded to your SS mandrel bent system that was stock. I would do it the right way or leave it alone but thats just me.

whitney dont be a dumbass you only cut the ****** mulfflers "resinators" off, manderal is only important in the bends youve asked that 20 times do you finally get it?

i lost my firewire card on my computer so ill get one tommorow and post some quality vids with all3 resinators gone

haha. so i guess people who put mufflers on their cars shouldn't, because its different piping than stock... haha. in that case, you'll need a turbo manifold, downpipe, test pipe, catback.

what ever man, if you ever delete all 3 resinators it may take you forever to figure it out .. remeber this conversation please!!!

Cutting and adding 3 sections of pipe in a nicely stock system is what he said he wouldnt suggest doing. A solid piece with a muffler on the end is the best way thats all I am saying here.

You mean to tell me you dont think having 3 sections of the CBE interupted by welds and sectioned pipe wont do anything to air flow? I am no mechanic but I did ask one and he said it would be a stupid way of doing it and not the right way.

Like I would buy a CBE with section welds in it to replace my stock system thats nice and smooth, lol.

Whatever whitey..You just better stay away from this mod,Its obviously not for you.

Not really a mod its just a piss poor way in making your car louder for a few bucks.

Trust me I thought about doing it and stood there talking to the guy but if I did do this it wouldnt be cutting out sections of an already well built system. Still thinking about doing a 2.5 CBE custom piece but not sure how much the noise will be on the inside and struggle with spending money on something that does nothing for the car due to its already good system.

whitey, don't you realize that the resonators are welded pieces to the mandrel bent pipe to begin with? its not just a bump in the piping. this exhaust guy doesn't know what he's talking about...

He said that as well but said it wouldnt disrupt anything. But if I were to cut them out it would be a much better job to do a 1 piece.

Thats cool if you guys want to go about it that way but not me. I am still thinking of going back and telling him I want some noise, :) and doing the 2.5 mandrel bent 1 piece.

yeah, i'm deciding between a custom catback and just removing 2 resonators. i'm waiting to hear those quality clips from gsr with all three removed. i know that i really like the sound of just 2 removed.

If you do it I would leave the first resonator in place since its closest to the driver and will tone down some of the noise. This is what the muffler dude told me anyway and it makes sense.

hey shark cool boost guage, im working on getting one where do you stck the tube through the firewall? isthat your boost guage in your side picure

Sounds horibble like there is a leak in the pipe or something.

I think you guys should start a club of hacked exhaust pipes, lol. You can call it pipe hackers, ghey!
