Thanks for the response ,what would be a safe amount of pounds over the stock wheel weight before ,it would be considered unsafe or to much weight
It was an option. I did not care for them. Now I have a fancy blinking orange TPMS light on all the time (doh)
Anyone know how to shut it off other than unplugging the bulb?
There is no amount of weight you will add with a tire and/or wheel change that will make the car unsafe. In reality, I very much doubt you will be able to even measure a difference in performance from adding 5 lbs per wheel. My summer wheels are 17 lbs each, which is a good 4 plus pounds lighter than the stock wheels on my Mazda6, and I cannot measure or notice any difference in acceleration. Braking and steering are significantly better, but that is from my Star Specs not from the lighter wheels.
