I don't think it was the substance of the egg that did it, cuz I got egged as I was pulling up to my gf's house, so I wiped it off immediately. It was the impact that did it.

Oh, and for those of you w/ a 5spd that have trouble getting into reverse, just let up on the clutch a little while you're pulling the shifter back into 4th and it will pop right into gear. Reverse has a straight-cut syncro gear or something, so you need a little rotation if it isn't aligned perfectly.

i always go to first and then back to reverse s*** i been out of college to long but thats what somthing that u mentioned bout synching up but going to first then to reverse does it grrr i need to go back and learn more lol

heh i was the same way. on my roll call there is no APC sticker lol. if someone else replicated this hood id get rid of this one in a sec.

3. Mazda Shifter Forks for 3rd/4th PERIOD. but thats more of a Mazda in general thing

APC hood can be found for $550 shipped.

The paint is ok on the protege -- def not the best, but NOT the worst. As for you getting shocked, most likely something not grounded well enough. Add a ground wire kit and it will prob work itself out ..

Biggest prob with the proteges --- suspension squeaks and clunks.

it has to do with the seats material... one i did my interior never got it again. The paint on the other hand it so thin.
