a car making 600+hp can still run 12s with a terrible driver.

trap speed is the MPH you were goin at the 1/4 mark.

yes, i get that. but im not a terrible driver. My reactions are good, my shifts are on. just the car is not pulling hard enough.
 
Yeah you might as well not be boosting lol.

the cracked mani and improper tune probably is probably the cause.
 
I think im going to get this Mani fixed / look into a Duel stage BC / 3"TBE / Tune it.
that should get my to the 14s
 
Cracked Mani, no exhuast, and runing rich are your problems.

Benspeed what were your mods on the 13.6? That's basically what I'm shooting for on my car, mid to low 13's.
 
I wouldn't worry about your reaction times.. Guessing you're just running test n tune, time starts when you trip the start laser. Ignore the tree, just try to get a good launch. 60ft. times make a much more difference than people realize.
 
The MSP bone stock is a 15'sec car. I would say the leaks are killin you.
 
ditto to what rally2003 stated. If you review the MSP braggin rights sticky you can seen alot getting low 15's stock like the car should. with your mods you should be mid to high 14's imo.

I dont think anyone was calling you a bad driver, how many 1/4's have you ran though. I have drive the hell out of my car on real roads, the strip is something else completly.

Your only priority should be to fix the cars problems, with the issues you have i would not even be trying 1/4's. But do what you will.

As i said in OP that was the first 4 1/4 iv done... and i very very very rarly give her all shes got on the road. Not worth the risk in racing in public.

But if i felt like the bad times were my fault, because of driving i would never has started the thread. Im looking for a mani, and i will get it tuned for next week and let you know my new times.
 
yeah dude you really need that mani fixed and a new exhaust....common you know you want it....

You know i do, but im going to mix the mani before i get the full exhust.
I also might look around, see if there is a shop that can make a full 3"TBE.
What do you think?
 
theres places around here that can but I personally think the quality and cost is better with something like the vibrant, remember that S pipe makes it a b**** to make the down pipe

ya, but if i could get a full 3" TBE in SS, for clost to the same price as the Vibrant (After shipping and fees say 1000$) then why not. The vibrant jpipe is not even 3" IIRC. Im not in a rush, im going to look around anyways. Worry about the Mani, and whlie the turbo is off ill replace the seals. And then the exhust line in the winter.
 
according to my iphone's pocket dyno, I ran a 15.2 at 92.4 mph, showing 148 whp, 2.6 sec 60' and 6.7 0-60. FMIC and a cone filter are my only power adders, and this is assuming the 2800 lbs I calibrated it at is accurate. I'm thinking that between me and my passenger it may have been closer to 2900... but that would mean that my numbers were low... and 15.2 already sounds optimistic.
