something interesting

i just went on edmunds to check out the wrx and the msp....looking at crash test and safety stuff for insurance.....now this is where it gets interesting....i looked under customer ratings for the MSP figuring there would be nothing there......lo and behold....someone wrote a review and said they had the car....and had put just over 150 miles on it......i wouldn't have really paid any attention....but it was on edmunds and i'd have figured no one would really post a rumor like that on there......anyways....just thought it was interesting

Well, I would think the date on that review (October 1, 2002)would give you some idea as to its validity. The guy could have ordered the car, or even driven it if he was lucky enough to get an invite from a dealer or Mazda, but I am 99% sure he does not actually have the car in his possession.

About the only possibility would be if he got one of those two Mazdaspeed Proteges from the car show in Quebec. After that show, the dealer could have been able to sell them. That would also explain why the review sounds like it was written by a non-English speaker. But was that show even before 10/1? I'm still not convinced.

JasonH, nice work but the show was AFTER October 1... im in quebec city, the two cars they had at the show were 2 of the 6 or 7 mazda canada press cars... they were not sold but just passed over to other reviewer and such... pierre deschamps, the guy who registered them, is a mazda canada master tech here in montreal.... he just have them to form mechanics on them....

I think this review is partially false, like you i think the guy just tried one at the mazda heat event and tried to look "hot" by saying that he own one...

anyway... FACTORY cars are still at the ports! so....
