Someone convince me to put money into my car!

Msp setup would be fine, definatley need exhaust intake and tune with it and you will be good for 160ish whp

Intake, headers and exhaust are a good start. You could also get a new ignition system. New spark plugs if you need them. And don't be cheap about those either.

I read somewhere in this forum that the cheapest spark plugs are actually the most reliable. So in my last purchase from Rockauto I purched two sets of these:

NGK Part # 6953 {#BKR5E11} V-Power
.044; OEM/OES Spark Plug

Choose:
^ Ships from same location as parts in cart
+ Sold in packs of {x}; Price reflects cost of each individual item, not the pack
CAD$1.60

I just installed them and appear to be working well.
The only issue with them (apparently), is that they are old school and the electrode gets burned up so they need to have their gap inspected more frequently.

I also read about a longer reach plug that is supposed to put the spark deeper into the fuel air mixture but I decided to go with the OEM.

Why would the cheapest spark plugs be the best....

Because cheap plugs are usually copper and have a better spark than more expensive platinum plugs, only down side is is that they dont last nearly as long, i change mine every 20k miles
