Soft and efficient mods for my speed6

Black 2007 Mazdaspeed 6
Hi,

First , I am sorry for my english. I live in Quebec and I speak french. I will do my best.

So, I just bought a 2007 black speed6. Even if the car is very performant, I am interested in a few mods which are pretty cheap and offer the best ratio $cash / performance. Furthermore, I want, as soon as possible, to avoid a too high level of noise for daily driving. (70 mph with cruise control ... )

After some researches , I am interesting in the mazdaspeed CAI (for warranty) and a testpipe / or a CPE downpipe + high flow cat.

For the CAI some people say that there is absolutely no gain in terms of hp on a turbo engine whereas many people claim that the gain is significant. Dealers like ********** announce a gain of 30hp! What do you think about that?
To finish with the CAI, on my old RSX-S I loved my CAI because for a soft driving the sound was completely the same as stock, but it was insane and great when the vtec started. I hope that under 3000-3500 rpm the sound remains almost normal on the speed6. Once again what is your opinion?

Concerning the testpipe, it seems that the gain of hp is really amazing. Another advantage is that there is no CEL. Is there dyno that confirm the gain of hp ? Is there a big difference in terms of hp with a CPE downpipe ?
In both cases, what about the level of noise?

To finish, the previous owner has done MAzda recall for PCM 4807H and 4907H. The car is smoother and more linear than the one I tried last year. Can I do something for that? Furthermore at Quebec there is no gaz with more than 91 octane. What do you think about octane booster? I read few good comments on this.

Many thanks for your answers!

well if you are interseted in a ms cai for warranty forget about doing the cpe downpipe and or testpipe cause those won't do you any good.

if you are interested in quiet highway driving I would suggest leaving the car stock....all the mods you have listed are going to increase the amount of noise and droning at highway speeds....they will also mess with your warranty...and there are very few "cheap" mods that will give you performance.

You get what you pay for.

Thanks for your answers. Concerning the level of sound, I just want mods that are not too boring for daily driving on highway. For a sporty driving, I like the sound of CAI .
That was exactly the case for my CAI on my ex-RSX.
I hope to win about 40hp with a CAI and a testpipe if what I read on the net is true. Do you think I'm wrong?

Concerning the warranty my dealer ensured me that a mazdaspeed CAI does not affect the warranty and in the same way I can change what part of the exhaust I want. (It is mazing but that waht's he told me...)

Others people told me to remove the OEM mufflers which are very restrictive. I don't think it increases the power. What do you think about that?
