So the Mazda6 Sport VE is the only trim that comes with a manual tranny?

In regards to '08 models? I'm researching the car however it seems only the SVE comes with an option for manual while the (2) other trims are only automatic? If so that sucks.

Thoughts? Confirmation?

Thanks much!

Well it makes sense considering touring/grand touring is geared for comfort and bs add-ons that aren't needed.

Of course, I'm sure your dealership would have no problem at all with adding the features from those trims to whatever vehicle you're looking at. They just love more money!

Definitely makes sense. For the most part, the Mazda 6 is a general consumer car, and auto is simply what sells on the fully equipped models. Manuals sell far less, so in a midsize luxury car, it isn't in their best interests to make the other trims available in manual. If the Speed 6 has come available in auto, I bet it would have been a success.
