?

Last night as i was parallel parking the car in front of my house i Noticed through my rearview mirror, a car barreling down the street, i quickly try to shift into first gear and accelerate to give him room to brake. not sure if i did or not. everything happened so quickly.

well he must have finally noticed that i was in front of him, cause he swerves and hits the corner of my car (as opposed to a full rear-end collision) and i must have said **** or something and put the car in neutral. +1 for me for not panicking and letting go of the clutch, cuz the mo'fugger took off.. (only been driving stick for 3 months)

i caught the first three #'s on the plate 969 ???? seven digits IL plates. black or dark 1995-1999 maxima no spoiler.

well i give chase and keep up with him for a while while he swerves and drives like crazy. he starts going down 1-way streets and i decide to call the cops. i don't have hands free so i started loosing ground as i talked to 911...missing shifts and using only one hand. the 911 guy kept trying to convince me to stop chasing and pull over as i need my second hand for driving as he too drives a manual car. I was surprisingly calm and thought about asking what kinda car, but felt it inappropriate

but the 911guy was like just pull over, your not helping the situation by driving erratically, but then he would say stuff like which direction now? so i kept chasing " east on 108th towards avenue M."

finally 911 guy begins to convince me to stop, so i hesitate and Maxima jerk was still WOT so, it was enough for him to lose me. so i called it a day and went home to wait for the cops to do a report. TTIWWOP, sorry no camera. basically hit the corner so panel damage new bumper needed and a new taillight. easily 2K i am gueesing. I have a $500 deductible

I called insurance and basically i pay the $500 and they fix it. i only have 16 buck a day towards a rental, so you may see my in a kia....

Man, sorry to hear about that. It could have been much worse. $2k that's alot of damage! I blew my tranny a while back and had to drive a Chevy Aveo 4dr for a week. What a turd that was!! Good Luck and watch that rear view!!

Sorry to hear :(. Hopefully the (five-0) will be able to track down the offender with the partial plates and car make. Hit and run makes me mad (chair)

That sucks to hear about the hit and run! Too bad you couldn't get a full plate #.

I had the exact same reaction from 911 when I had to give chase after witnessing an assault - they said "STOP!" I had already given them the full plate so I backed off.

Huh sounds like the same crackhead who broke into my car the other night... sorry to hear bro, sucks that some poeple just don't give a sh*t

People like that can't give a s*** because they don't possess the mental faculties to do so. ****** asshat dipshit wadswallowers is all they are.

I don't think much will come of this. I talked to insurance and we already talked about getting it fixed. I don't think they are even going to look into it. the guy is probably a deadbeat and/or no insurance, so it's probably not even worth for anybody (insurance/police)to spend manhours chasing him down. I on the other hand will be vigilant. hehe

I agree, if by "somehow" and "someway" you mean me introducing a louisville slugger to his maxima... :)

On my road home from work I had my windshield spider from a semi shooting rocks while it was zooming past me. :(
