So Now What?

Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to the forum but I wanted to share something. I got in my car this morning and it wouldnt start! I didnt have time to investigate fully, but i'm guessing it has something to do with the starter...I have been out of town for a few days so I havent driven it since wednesday morning...It's pretty cold here in michigan but i mean this is a new car and im dumbfounded! When i get home, ill check the starter fuse and anything else that I can figure out, cuz Im far from an expert on this one...

If anyone has any ideas on what the hell I should do, I'd love to get some input.

I think my cars just mad at me or something, but the key turns all the way...no sound at all coming from the engine though, although ive got lights on in the car...no check engine, none of the diagnostic stuff...

Anyway, since I have bored y'all enough...I'm gonna go.

From the discription you gave I take it the car doesn't even trun over.....just your lights come on...

well this is simple.....its a new car.....call the dealer and tell them to come and get it and fix it.....since you are in the US....you have at least a year of mazda road side service where they will come and get your car.....call them.

this is the same problem i had with my protege 5.. i would come out from work and the keyless entry wouldnt work.. but the lights would come on. i would have to turn it over 4 or 5 times maybe 10 sometimes and it would start. the dealer said it was a fussible link with the alternator or sumthin like that. i wish i could be more specific but it was a while ago. anyways u may just want to run that by them if they cant find a solution.

As for the lager...sorry, I'm only 17 so we're gonna have to wait like 2 years for canada...

...anyway...the car...don't know what the hell happened in the morning, i think she was just a little bitter or something, but when i got back from school, it started just fine...

...Now another issue...when the car tried to start, it attempted to flip the radio...which caused it to um well, BREAK...dammit...taking it to the dealership tomorrow, cuz i dont have the kenwood tools, nor the time or energy to fuss with it...GRR

..oh and the drivers seat is loose or something...SIGH...

Wow, Molly sorry to hear all the trouble. Just rule the Dealer with an Iron Fist if you need. Hopefully they will be nice to you and take care of it all nice and quick.

Some dealers have the car in the show room, and forget to disconnect the battery. The result, someone playing with the stereo in the showroom, and you get a weak battery

Just a thought.

Making me NERVOUS! Bran new MSP with problems....I've got to agree with the "Iron Fist" logic. Give the dealer hell (or cash) and they tend to work pretty fast in my experience. Just pulled my MSP in for the first time and you've got me on my gaurd.

Are you sure the Kenwood is broke? Just push in the top left corner and it should flip.

no, i went to the dealership today and they said they would switch up the whole unit...YAY!! whatever as long as it works, right? They are also gonna check on whatever the problem with it starting was and the seat...

I have to wait for my dad to take it so we can get a rental...(they are gonna keep my car for a few days) so i have to wait till prolly friday with no tunes...
