You do have to compress eibachs as well. The frustrating part of the install is reinserting the front struts, as even with the antiseize they don't really wanna go back in.
double A-ron, how long did the install take? Did you run into and complications or frustrations?
Did you have to use a spring compressor to install the Eibachs?
Reason I ask is when I installed springs on my last car, I needed a compress to remove the stockers and the new springs did not need them.
Thanks for the info!!!
I thought the front struts went in a lot easier than they came out. I didnt use anti-seize though.
So just to be clear:
Front dis-assembly: requires spring compressor
Front install: requires spring compressor
What about the rears?
Rear dis-assembly: ?
Rear install: ?
you mean a 40 series sidewall? hopefully the offset isnt +40. stock is +53 and the book speced range is +45 to +60.
Well its day 3 and im getting some cracking sounds from the top spring hats i think...not sure why but i plan on pulling them back off next weekend to see what the problem is..i hear it only when i go over the edge of my driveway or the crevices in the pavement, but other wise its noise free, I did kinda notice alittle of the same noise when it was stock but its louder now..hopefully i can go back and realign and check the torque on all the bolts. Anybody else notice the same type of noise?
