That does look pretty low, I wonder if it has to do with the 8" wide wheel with a 225/45 tire. That extra sidewall height may make the gap seem smaller. I went with a 225/40 on mine.
I have a pro-kit that will be coming off my car on Friday. They've been on about 6k miles and I'll make you a screaming deal on them.
Pm if you're interested.
Well its day 3 and im getting some cracking sounds from the top spring hats i think...not sure why but i plan on pulling them back off next weekend to see what the problem is..i hear it only when i go over the edge of my driveway or the crevices in the pavement, but other wise its noise free, I did kinda notice alittle of the same noise when it was stock but its louder now..hopefully i can go back and realign and check the torque on all the bolts. Anybody else notice the same type of noise?Just installed my springs yesterday, so far i love the ride with the stock shocks even, it would be alittle better with the Koni FSD's to help control dampening, but i couldn't wait any longer..the power doesn't overwhelm the suspension anymore so alot less lift when you hammer on it. The drop is perfect, i really wouldn't want the car any lower than it is now. I measured the before and after..before the Fr was a 2'' gap and the Rr was a 1.5''..now the Fr is about 1.25'' and the Rr is an 1.0'' im running the stock 215-45's so if you go 225-40's there will be alittle more. I didn't want coilovers because of my last set on my Vw was nothing but problems and the ride was horrible and yes they were adj. i kept them on the softest setting and still hated the ride quality. Eibach FTW on this car.

Possibly but I haven't tried wider wheels/tires on mine yet, the amount of clearance is minimal tho, i'd suggest rolling the rears anyway to avoid cutting your tires if you need to load your car down with stuff.with the eibach drop, will i rub with 18x7.5 with a 42 offset?
if i put on these springs with i believe i have a 225/7.5/18 or something liek that i should just be able to throw the bad boys on and be set?
forgetting the mechanical rule that nothings wrong but probably is.
That setup should be fine, I'm running a 225/40 on the stock 18x7 and come spring will be on a 18x7.5. I've been hearing people say they rub with 225/45 though.
Yes, 225/45 do rub occasionally.
im not sure the offset thats why i left that out. ill have to check. i hope its a 40 for the sake of me just wanting to do the old throw it on and be set.
