I sold my speed6 yesterday, very glad I sold it myself because ford dealer was gonna give me less than I expected. I know I sold it to someone who deserved the car, he was very happy cus I gave him some bolt ons to go with it. So now I'm anxious to get my 12 GT 5.0! Placed my order last week and expect to have it by mid august or sooner. I'll post pics up when I get it.

Congrats on the sell! And I'm still contemplating on reverting back to a Speed 6 from an 08 G37 Sport.......Am I crazy? Lol.

Just keep the g37 man, you have more power and are NA so don't have to worry about smoking turbos or nothing. I loved my Mazda the 2 years I had it. But now I excited to get a brand new car with over 400 hp!

.....And the haters come out

i am teh jealous. As much as my next upgrade from the Ms3 was an evo or sti, the mustang gt all of a sudden came out of no where and i fell in lust. Especially blows now because it was like 0 financing for 60 mos on them

what options did you go for?

There is no hate, its just not as fast as tunersteve made it sound. Breaking traction in third... Sure I can see it but the mustang does not seem impressive stock like people blew it up to be.

well if you compare the three V8 monsters, the camaro, the challenger, and the mustang, the mustang is definitely the better choice performance wise. nice buy and can't wait to see pics.

Congrats to you man...Excellent choice. What color, options, etc, did you go with? Check out themustangsource.com. I'm Rez over there as well, and Steve is Overboost.

I have an 06 GT, because a wife, two kids, and a three-bedroom mortgage wouldn't allow a '12 at this point. But, once the preschool bills are out of the way...I'll join you. Hopefully in a 500+ hp 2014.

No doubt.. However the LS series motor is a great motor its just the New Camaro is too %$$%%$$ heavy

I ordered a grabber blue base GT 6 speed manual. Only option was the brembo brake pkg, which is 14" front 4 piston rotors, 19" forged wheels, more aggressive suspension tuning and steering calibration. very excited gonna keep it fairly stock first year due to some TSB regarding aftermarket tuning. probably just gonna do axle back exhaust and tint along with A CF interior kit. I will def. Post some pics when it arrives hopefully mid august. People are going to hate but with a CAI and CBE and a tune these stangs put down over 410 WHP! that's like a 1200 dollar upgrade.

haha 410whp for a 5l v8 by today's standards is nothing to write home about.

add some boost, make it 610... that would be something to write home about.

^^^^^ummm....1hp per cubic inch for natural asperation is still good by todays standards. And 100hp per liter is even better. Think about how many NA cars from the factory have 1hp per ci and then think of how many have 100hp per liter

Very nice...be sure to throw an x-pipe in there as well.

Blah blah, like stated people are gonna hate, the new 5.0 is def one of the best bang for your buck sports cars today, I'm not saying it's te most powerful v8 today but for the money it's a great buy. I could have bought a used M3 or RS4 or some sort of two seater coupe but this will be my second mustang gt and I'm very excited. I have lots of plans for it and possibly adding a whipple charger or Roush supercharger in a few years. I loved my mazdaspeed 6 but to get it to break 350 hp as a functional daily driver would have cost so much money, that's why I chose to get a brand new car with 412hp benchmark!

I love those new stangs....and the gt has been wayyyyy overdue for a push in power. It may even destroy the "5 slow" legacy

And theyre sooooo incredibly inexpensive for the power and options they have. Granted the main thing its missing that i need is 4 doors, but if i were choosing a mid $30k performance car there is no way id go for the evo or sti

Congrats sleeper, I hope you're happy in the new Stang. I don't think it's exactly my style, but I can't deny I'd like to take one out and hoon around for a bit. Hope the Speed6 is in a good home too.

Not gonna lie...I used to HATE the mustang. But after seeing the new models come out, I have warmed up to them a lot. They look so clean and mean now. Coming from an SRT8 Magnum, I know you will love the torque :)

Congrats on the sale/upgrade! I still swing by here from time to time to see what's going on.

Oh, and for those of you waiting, it's only gonna get better. Trust me.

Just a few things too, the MT82 hype is a bit overdone, and the people worrying about #8 cylinders blowing up has died down a lot. I think you'll be just fine with a later build '12. Axle backs, X-pipe, and an intake/tune combo will make silly power for the amount of money you put in. Check the link in my sig for my build thread.

Zinger, did you drive one? If so, what did it have as options? I've noticed the 3.31 gear makes it feel weak. The 3.55 or 3.73 gear makes a big difference in torque.
