Snow tires....whoa!

I'm going to have to check the tire pressures tonight, but my ride to work today was rather interesting. I know the snow tires are a lot softer, but it felt like I had 4 flat tires driving on the highway. I know turning isn't going to be as crisp, but the rubbery feel of the car was a bit disconcerting. I don't remember having this issue with my GTI. FWIW, I got Winterforce tires.(peep)

This is a common complaint several Winterforce owners have commented on in the past. Do a search on the Internet for Winterforce survery/comments and you'll see that you're not alone in ths regard. I have these Winterforce tires on my MPV (225x55-R17) and have a similar experience to yours. I regret having purchased these tires (I should have read the reviews first), but it's too late for me to change them.

Oh, great. I thought I read reviews, but I must not have.

EDIT: I'm looking at reviews on Tirerack and they are all positive. I did read these reviews before. I guess I should have done more resaerch, though.

Hands down the best performing snow tires are the Dunlop WinterSport M3s (or M2s). If you are thinking about replacement, definitely get those. Mine have been through 3 winters on my RX-8 and they are going through their 4th winter on my MS3.
