Smokers

Ha! I just yelled at a white trash woman yesterday for that. She was stopped at the light next to me and I happened to have the windows down. Said something like, "Litterbug c*nt, pollute you're own world." Got a shocked/evil eye look.

Last fall I had this nasty smell seeping into the car. Finally got to Target to park and checked- it was a half chewed cigar stuck in the grill.

I go out of my way to diss smokers in public, especially if my kids are there. I'll loudly say, "Wait honey, lets go over there away from the drug user so you don't get cancer."

I usually make it a point to not smoke in my car, but I do it on ocassion when I am on a long trip.

With that said, when I actually do smoke in the car, I take the same approach as I do when I am on the golf course. When I am done smoking, I knock the cherry off and put the empty filter in my pocket. I throw the butt away when I get to a trash can. It's easy to do, and is a lot more respectful of everyone.

The chances of starting a forest fire around here is way too high when you flick a cig out the window that still has paper and a filter... it is much better to just hold it out the window and empty it if you don't want to use the ashtray.

i wish everyone was as caring for others..

i dont like smoking in the car, but if im working and busy, i usually get stressed and do. i flick down and away, as my ash tray is full of change. but down and away, with no one around. s*** pisses me off when people flick them carelessly and they bounce at my car

here's an eye opener to all who posted in this thread how they do it BUT they flick them hard and down, or down and away, etc... well guess what, they still get sucked into your stream of air and fly back at the car behind you.. sparks flicking everywhere, normally they hit the front of the car and sometimes get stuck in the grill, other times bounce right over top the car..

one time i thought one flew in my sunroof.. that would have sucked..

Do you do this to make you feel better about yourself. Imagine one of your kids standing there minding theyre own business enjoying, I don't know, say a sucker or candy or something. Somone walks by and says "oh look out honey the little sugar fiends might get you". Even if you don't like it there is absolutely no reason to make them feel like s*** for it. Im sorry man but your statement is completley ignorant.

Another thing I can't stand is smokers taking one drag and hanging the damn thing out the window and burning it halfway down. I don't want to smell that s***. If you smoke - smoke the damn thing. Keep your windows up and enjoy the smoke....
Exactly. Keep that s*** to yourself. Its always on really nice days when I have all my windows down and I get stuck behind some dick that has to let his entire cigarette burn out hanging out his window for me to smell.(argh)

I have one of those $3.99 smokeless ashtray. Works wonders.

Seriously guys...just buy one of these ******* ashtrays already. It doesn't stink, fits in your cupholder, and eliminates littering the street w/butts.

Ok, I myself am trying my best to quit smoking. Based on your post, if you where to say something like that to me in a public area, like a park or something, I'd probably tell you to **** off, because believe it or not this is still a free country. I think it's awesome that you teach your kids about the dangers of smoking early in their lives, but you don't have to degrade smokers by calling them "drug users" and such. Smokers are people too you know.

^^ agreed i hate being preached to about smoking... im well aware of what im doing. Infact they tell me what im doing on the box.

Im polite as possible when it comes to smoking.

Of course there is! I HOPE it makes them feel bad, that's the whole point. I know it's manufactured to be adicting, but if they're too weak of character to quit, they deserve the cancer. Fortuneatly for them it takes a long time so they could quit if they really wanted. The trouble is, it makes our health insurance higher because of them. Not to mention the second hand smoke WILL affect others. THINK! If my kid eats candy, it doesn't kill anyone else around them. And if I spit out a piece of candy, it doesn't cause a $2 billion forest fire that covers half a state. Smoke all you want at home or someplace you only pollute your own air, but if you're out in public it becomes my business and I hope cancer finds them quick. I don't believe in the pussy politically correct crap. If it's bad, it's bad, and I'm not going to smile but have nasty thoughts like most people.. Societies problems don't get solved by hiding them and pretending they aren't there.

That's great, and I wish you the very best of luck and support. I'd just ignore anyone's "**** off", just like I would if somebody thought they owned the road and cut me off. Smokers are people too, but not in public places where non-smokers have to share their polluted air. It took my brother in law a couple years to quit, but he never failed to keep his smoking outside and out of sight of kids, and it sounds like you are considerate like that. But most smokers aren't, hence this thread of every smoking jackass tossing the butts out the window. So now my world has trash in it because somebody wants to keep their car's $15 ashtray looking brand new. But I wish you the best of luck and health and hope you succed in quiting.

Damn dude, good thing you didn't grow up in the Fifties...you would have gone Postal.

Why do most smokers insist on throwing the cigarette butt out of the window?

It is so annoying when a ciggarette butt comes flying back at you from a car ahead..

I totally agree with this..
