Ok so hook it up from the PCV? any quick idea of whereabouts it is? I know it's usually on top of the valve cover.

Anybody out there that has a OCC? I want to see if there is a good location that doesn't look bad. :D

I'll try that Tru-boost, it's easier than removing the test pipe and putting the airbox back together...

anyone in the nh area have a problem with the turbo seals? if so, pm me please, every mazda dealership has given me the run around, so i'm tryinig to go thru mazda america... i hate dealerships...

in my car it smells funky but I have the test pipe and that's when I started seeing the smoke

When my 07 SPD 6 started to smoke I took it into the dealer and they did a compression test to make sure the piston seals werent put in wrong and then found the turbo seals were bad. I have a test pipe but stock exhaust "for now" and the dealer said it had nothing to do with the pipe but more then likely a bad batch of turbos going around threw mazda. They had no probl with my other mods and asked no questions. I have a Mazda CAI and a Forge BOV

oh man I hope I can get that fixed like that.... because I also have an issue where my drivetrain, every time I brake and the speed drops at about 25mph, it feels like it moves forward and it feels like it whiplashes... weird...

well, I took the car to the dealer, they actually had to call mazda to get approval. They approved it so they ordered the turbo, should be in next week or so, I'll post if it still smokes...

I got a new turbo from them and mine stopped smoking. I figuered maybe it had to do with the oil return lines and all that or it has to do with full exhaust, ill see when the cats go back out

ok..so the stock turbo is known to smoke...But what about the protege garage k04 turbo rebuilt??? Is that turbo crap too??

Ken has said in the Turbo Swap thread that he can't guarantee that the rebuilt K04 will stop the smoking. It still has the limitations caused by the original design.

Currently running the 70ZC turbo and having no problems whatsoever, even with a test pipe.

my car never smoked until i put my dp on. it smokes only at idle if i let it sit for about 2-3 mins. i love the power gains from the dp but hate the smoke. im about to do the ko4 rebuild and do a oil catch can.
