Small white dots on fuel gauge

It's LED. LCDs can't show as many variations and colors as our displays do.

I'm still wearing one of those "old" watches. :)
Its LCD display. So as the infotainment screen. For 2014 CX-5 non-GT like OPs, the fuel gauge has no color either. LED color display will be so much more expensive than LCD color display and no car manufactures would use it like higher quality and more expensive true LED TV.

You mentioned it has been COLD there... Perhaps the cold has caused some "shrinkage", and the bad connection problem will disappear with the warmer weather?

I stand corrected. Note to self: STFU when Ass-U-Me-ing. It's not cold here, but my brain is certainly shrinking, inexorably, every day.

But my fearless prediction remains: it'll clear up on its own, or it'll stay like that. Not worth replacing.

OP - if it gets worse, maybe get it replaced by going to a decent auto electrician. May save you $$$

More accurately, non-tech package. I have a GT sans tech package, so I have the same display as OP.

Hi everyone

Thanks for your input - I am happy to report that they have gone down significantly, there's only about 3 or 4 tiny small dots left...so it must have been condensation :D :D

Yes, youre correct! The GT without Tech has the same display like Touring and Sporf. And I do like Tech Package display better where the fuel gauge looks like a real mechanical fuel gauge with a needle. :)
