Got the header/midpipe on today

Mostly straight forward, just a couple hiccups
First, the bracket that holds the midpipe was too wide so I had to grind it down a bit

Also the header took a bit of elbow grease to get over the studs. Widened the holes in the flanges a bit and then reached for the motivator (my hammer) and managed to get it all the way on. Also didnt buggar any of the threads in the process, score.

Pic, old vs new

Vid of smoke after starting

Started the first process of re-finishing the wheels
Filled the curb-rashed areas with metal filler, Ill let it dry over night and pick up some sanding blocks from Home Depot tomorrow to move forward with em

Also if you noticed the "racing" decal inlays were yellowed by the sun and corroded and whatnot, so I popped em out and filled the holes with filler as well

Ordered Hubcentric rings for the wheels

So $21 Drag hubcentric rings 73.1->56.1, plus $20 cupon
= $1 set of decent rings ....score!!

Also tackled the center caps

Loosely set one togather so you get the whole picture

(Yes I accidentally drilled a hole in one of the enkei emblems, 100 points to who can guess how lol)

Nope
See the white parts (chrome at the time) easily pryed away from the black parts with a razor. But the enkei emblems wouldn't budge without damaging them.
So I came up with the idea to drill a hole through the plastic behind them and then take a screwdriver and pop them out from the back
What I didnt know is the emblems were bade of the same soft ABS plastic as the black parts and on the first one ... pffft ... bit went right through the whole shebang lol

And preview: Just primed and white, no clear yet. Light is getting dim and I wanted to snap a pic quick

:D Glad you got a kick out of that. On the topic of the car, I love what you've done so far. The car sounds like bliss from what I could tell on the video and you've done a great job on the wheels so far. Keep it going.
