Skyline GTR R34 Nismo Z-tune vs Porsche 911 turbo

I'd still take a 911 any day over an R34, regardless. Something about those cars have always appealed to me, and they truly are an amazing feat of production to handle so well and really not rely on brute power to be one of the most agile entry level supercars in the world.

They are bot h beautiful in their own ways. The ultimate expressions of different concepts of performance.

Actually both have great looks in different ways:

Firs off.. the Z-Tune sucks big time. I can built with half the money a R32 with more power and with the LM Nismo rims and the S-Tune touch will look more badass than the Z-Tune. Buth no Skyline come close to a 911. That car is made for the people like it has to be. Now that is what i call a PROPER CAR. So... there you go.....

They are both beautiful in their own ways. Totally different engine/drivetrain setup. Only thing I think though is it would've been better to compare it to a GT2. Ultimately my vote goes to the Porsche. It's class that gets ass I wanna say. I'm trying to loose the kiddy image and a Porsche would definitely change that in my mind. I want a Porsche right now in fact. Sat in one just yesterday at the dealer....Carrera.

Yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat. I figure I'm 22, so after I get married and settle in, I plan on saving up and getting myself a 911 just as a toy. That way before I have kids I can pick one up and rationalize it to my wife.

If money isn't an issue though, I'll definitely get a 911 turbo, GT3 RS, or (dreaming) GT2.

The BOY RICER in me says go with the R34. It looks too cool. But the grownup in me would says 911. So I guess it would be which part of me would win.

What's up with the lack of hard #'s on the Z-tune..."N.A."?

That's a lot of money to be asking for "N.A"...

As for which one...tough call...can't decide!?

Yep, not knowing the specs of a car that may possibly be a daily driver basically sucks. What if it gets like 5 miles to the gallon? Also in the end it's just a modded Skyline....the Porsche, well it's a base model. Mod it like the Z-tune and see what happens. (glare)

I've wanted a 911 since I first saw one in 1984. I only want it more now.
I suspect Porsche will eventually make the GT2 engine tune available in the Turbo with something similar to the X50 package they offered on the 996 or the sport chrono package they offer now, bumping it up to 530 hp and 505 lb-ft. And even if this doesn't make it an overall faster car than the Skyline, it carries a heritage and style with it that IMO, no Nissan could rival.
