Siruis Radio deal

It doesn't matter what brand it is.. If the headunit is "Sirius Ready", which will be obvious if it has the Sirius logo on it somewhere, then you can use the tuner. Another company also makes Sirius products and they, too, will plug in to any "Sirius Ready" headunit.

Just like a USB printer; as long as the computer has a USB port, you should be able to use it. Just make sure your deck is ready for it.

If it's not, you can still get the free merchadise and then order (at whatever cost) the FM Modulator. The modulator will basically convert the signal to a regular, albeit very weak, FM signal that you can pick up with what ever stereo you have in the car, even a walkman if you're one of the ghetto folk.

Enjoy.

As far as "$50" value, you're getting around $150-200 retail priced equipment for free. That's more than a couple of lapdances.

Just went onto Sirius.com... tuner's are $50 and antenaes are $80 Not quite $200 but a sweet ass deal nonetheless. I'm still skeptical about the compatibility issues... seems like everyone I talk to has a different oppinion on it.

"If you are buying a headunit or FM Modulator system, you will need a tuner. Remember, the tuner brand must be the same brand as the headunit or FM Modulator system."

I'm going to call Tweeter tomorrow and see what they have to say. Joe from American Satelite (seemed rather knowledgeable) insisted that the kenwood tuner wouldn't work with my CeNET Clarion connection. I'm hopin you're right Tease, I just need to find out for sure before rolling the dice. Otherwise I'll be locked in some contract and basically forced to shell out $130 to take advantage....

Does your headunit have a Sirius logo on it?

By the way, Joe also insisted that there was a number on the Sirius offer tag that was in the car when I bought it. When I was not able to find a number, I called back and spoke with another guy who said there was no number and he didn't know what Joe was talking about.

I would also like to know for sure. I called Tweeter and good guys and they both said that the kenwood will only properly connect to a kenwood headunit.

I was also told about some offer that was supposed to come with the car, but I don't remember seeing anything. I knew I would be changing my deck out though, so maybe I just didin't pay attention to it. (dunno)

I called today to see where my stuff is and they said they were out again! They didn't have any in stock. AGAIN! ....and they had no idea when they would be in.

ordered mine yesterday.....confirmed the turms in the email.

I have a question for everyone...soon after agreeing to their terms, did you guys receive an email or something stating when you'd be getting the items?

I jumped on this deal since Monday of last week, but there was some mix-up (my contact phone number was incorrect [in their system], so when I'd fill out the terms-section, I would use my correct number, but it wouldn't match what was in the order). I finally got Amy [before she left, I guess] to fix my info and I responded to that email, but I haven't heard anything.

Now that I hear that they're out of the units, I'm hoping I didn't get assed-out of this deal because of their mix-up! (protest)

I had to call them b/c I never received and e-mail with a tracking number...they said mine was on hold but no one could tell me why. Then of course they siad they would call me back with the reason (that was tuesday). So I'm going to call them again tomorrow to find out what the heck they are doing.

i just agreed to the terms on their site,
then right away i got a scond email confirming my agreement of Terms & Conditions.

lady on the phone told me that the unit will ship out within 7 days.

Same as Vic said. The second confirmation email they sent was in my inbox right after I submitted my info. It should be here within 7 days of today...

son of a (rant) !

I didn't get that 2nd email...grr!

I'm gunna call them tomorrow. I'd better not hear any crap from them especially since they've F'd up the order since last Monday. Hopefully, my so-called-Order# means that they're holding my stuff and that they truly aren't "out of them" (if at least one more for me).

Thanks guys (Vic and 2K3)!

hey mike, make sure they got your email right.
they got mine wrong and after i sat there and waited for 4 hours for the "Terms and Conditions" email, i called back and they DID misspell my email.
but after they fixed it everything went fine.

Can anyone answer this for sure?? I'm in the same situation.

Well I finally figured out why my stuff was on hold....here is the line the I was given. Because it is a new product (yeah right) they are only getting 5 at a time. So I'm in line for the next shipment which comes early next week. We'll see, I told them when I called to order that was the first question I asked and they said yes but I guess with the sudden demand they ran out which means one of you have my order since I started this thread and told everyone they were back in stock. (argh)

The SAME thing happened to me. I wonder if that's why Amy is no longer working there, that's who took my order initially.
