So how much did you guys end up paying? I ended up getting a year, and it was like $150 or so...

Oh, one more question. How do I set my presets? For the radio and Sirius. I just got my Kenwood deck back from my ex, and can't find my manual.

Setting the stations is a b****. I can't even remember the procedure off the top of my head. You have to hold the 4th preset button down for a few seconds and it goes into preset mode. You tune the station and use the top arrows to choose a preset number. Then you hold a button again for 2 seconds. I think that's it.

Sweet. Thanks Crock...I got as far as getting the preset thing to pop up, but forgot about using the am/fm buttons to change the preset number(hand). I can't try to do the sirius stations though be cause I don't get reception in my garage. How gay is that? Oh well, I'll try it on my way to work tonight....

Ok, I've got my unit, its installed and ready to go...now...how the h-e-double hockey sticks do I get the HU into "sirius mode" so I can tune in the test station and activate my account (already have another receiver for home/gf's car) (z828) I've read the manual front to back, followed every tip in these threads and I think its probalby the easiest thing to do...I just can't figure it out...little help for the idiot over here?! [me ]

^^hit the source button it should switch between "off", "tuner", "cd", and "sirius"

I'm not that big of an idiot ...I've done that, I actually do have a clue of what I'm doing(shrug) . I get CD>Tuner>Aux [TV/DVD/Aux when I have the aux option turned on] and that's it. Anything else?

hehe, well thats all i had to do after installing the tuner and antennae...try turning the headunit off and turn it on again.

is your head unit sirius ready? if it is i think it should just pop up, if not i'd imagine you get nothing. if it is and it's not coming up i'd check to make sure it's plugged in all the way, that's about the only thing that can go wrong

yep z828 that came with the mp3. I almost feel like at one point in the past it did say Satellite as one of the options, but it has since been impossible to recreate...

yep...tried that too...had it unplugged to install (made it easier to get to the socketfor the plug thingy...had to redo the whole set up...but still no sign of the sirius mode...
my graphics are also starting to go which is great (unless I'm pressing on the face)(alright) .

try looking in the menu to see if you can turn off external inputs like aux and sirius. My old pioneer had that and my new kenwood has it as well
