I have a RActive intake now, is the Simota CAI from Protegegarage.com any better, or has anyone heard of it?

Dont bother, not worth the money. If you have piping, just put a quality filter on the end of it.

I've got the simota twin charger CAI...I like it, but bought it because it was much cheaper than all the other CAIs out there. Has worked fine for me over 4+ years...

ight, i mean i have an intake in it already, i was thinkin weaponR filter and replace the couplers if i didnt go with a new intake.

I would think about the AEM Dryflow series of filters...just get one that fits your piping. They can be cleaned just by washing, which is much nicer than having to oil a filter!

if the ractive is a short ram, you'd be a little better off going with a cold air. the simota CAI's are very good for the price

The only problem I think I'd have with a CAI like the simota is where I live I'm right by lake Erie and we gt crazzyyyyy winters. I'll basically already be pushin snow and I just feel kinda sketchy about the intake bein there during the winter. I'll look into the AEM dry flow series tho. Lookin for somethin that is gonna sound nice too

No need to be sketchy, short ram for winter, CAI for summer
