Silverstars or bust?

I just sold my HID to fund a blown strut, and i put in sylvania extravision regular halogens, they actually cover the same amouth of ground my HID did once i re aimed them, but u cant see signs as well. (peep) you can also crank the beam WAAYY up without giving off any glare to the opposing driver.

Im thinking about polka dotting them with a blue permanent marker to get rid of the dull look, but keeping much light as posible. anyone think thats safe?

then again if u get a cheap or faulty HID kit, ull end up buying new bulbs and ballast, dishing out more moeny, So I'd get something with a decenst warranty and brand. My HID was an ebay kit, but it was xentec, and the only problem I had was one bulb to go out wihtin a whole year. They are getting cheaper.

dont sharpie ur headlight bulbs lol. they're way hot like mentioned before. i got bored and i tried coloring our dome light with a sharpie and it didnt last 2 days. but the 194 map lights retain the color. now i got silly colored map lights lol

yea perm sharpie. the 194's prolly dont run hot enuf to melt it off

I've been a fan of the luminics bulbs. I think they are a little cheaper than the silverstars and I know they come in yellow, white, blue, and violet. I have had the jdm yellows and arctic whites and loved both. I think I got them for like $30

Go with HIDs if you need some more info on them pm have some good things that may help you out when your ready to order them.

Thanks. It might be a bit before I'm ready but I'll definitely remember to ask you for some help. 'Preciate it man.

I have the PIAA bulbs in the car now, and they are bright as hell.
I had a conversion harness from the honda for our bulbs that made them able to use higher wattage bulbs, and I was using 80/100 watt bulbs I bought from a shop here in town, those were in for about a year and a half, they burnt out, so I'm back to the PIAAs.
They aren't quite as bright as the original, but they get the job done.

I think I've found a place that can sell them to me real cheaplike. So I'll probe into that and see how that goes. I think I'll be going either 4k or 4.5k. Just so they aren't blue.

silverstar ultras are your best bet without goin hid. but honestly hid is almost the same price depending on what kit you buy. hid looks better too imo

Go HID's.

You won't be able to go back to Halogens

And, if you get the kit from Protophile, he offers a lifetime garuntee, so, you're covered

I can't list my source but I am gonna get a smokin' deal plus a lifetime warranty so I can't ask for better. I'm afraid of going HID just because I know I'll have to get them for my Colt Vista and the wife's Civic.

IT IS INEVITABLE!!!!

lol

Trust me, i ended up ordering a 2nd set for Callie's car a week after I got mine

I'm running silverstar's right now, but will be switching to HID's courtesy of Ken @ PG soon. The good thing about my silverstar's is that every 3-4 months when they burn out I just take them back and get a new one (they apparently have a 1 year warranty).
