Silver bulbs.

Finally found them at http://www.andysautosport.com/bulbs/xseriesbulbs.html

They're the ones that are silver when off but colored when activated. They look a bit pricey but I'll probably be investing in some in a bit.

You can do the same thing with your regular yellow or red lights. A lot of BMW people been doing this for ages.

Just tape off the metal piece, lightly spray paint it and when I say lightly do it lightly. Let it dry and use.
