Show off your racing seats...

my a4s are pretty good but u sit lower than stock seats. i am only 5'4 and 135lbs. at first, i wasnt used to sitting far back (even if the chair was as close as it could be).

but yah, sparco foam is much better than corbeau cushion. sparco seems more sturdy, but u get what u pay for

Yeh those mounting brackets were wayyyyy to high in my camaro I ended up welding the bracket strait to the sliders they sit on the floor now :-D.

hmm seems like corbeaus might be best for me... if they lower me maybe i won't be staring at my sun visor! damn tallness.

I dunno about the protege but mine were high in the camaro even on the low setting cause camaro seats are on the floor to begin with.

all it takes is a cutting torch, a spare set of seat rails and a welder. Cut the actual mouting bracket parts off the rails where they are rivetted on, put them in the car, put the seat in on top of them, clamp the brackets down (already scraped clean and everythign of course) and then weld away.

clamp first.... then you can take the seat out of the car to do the welding.

good thing you clarified that,I know a few members here would end up welding in the car.

from what i've seen it looks like most aftermarket seats acctually take up less room on about equal room in the back.

any kind of seats i can get that will fit nice but not break the bank?? idont need anything to fancy just want alittle mroe support?

Well I just ordered a wide Corbeau A4 seat in black. I cross checked the dimensions of the A4 wide with the Torino and they are almost identical. Which is why the Torino tends the fit the bigger guys better then the standard A4. Cost with bracket came out to be $440 shipped.

anyone know the cheapest place to get seats and anyone heard any word on the sparco sienas??? those look tempting...\

i need seats that can be set lower than stock. im 6'1 and wont mind lower. i think i saw a set of sparco brackets that were low and only had slide i think. can anyone shed light into my....dark....shed....ya....

heres a quick photo of mine dont mind the distraction on the seat. they are DAD seats very comfy on long trips. i take 6 hour trips in them and dont have any trouble. as you can see full harnesses as well.
