Show me your CX-5 wheels

I have never had staggered wheels and I don't know how would you rotate tires on these, by removing them and re-installing on the front wheels?

Hey all. I just picked up a 2014 Mazda CX-5 Sport in Liquid Silver the other day. I love this car. I am looking to upgrade the wheels but I am wondering if anyone here has experience with CX-5 aftermarket wheels. I love the look of 22" rims however I'm worried about losing gas mileage and driving performance. I love how this car rides and I don't want it to change much. Any thoughts?

22" rims will give you a horrendous ride due to the super-low profile tire you would have to get to keep the same tire height, something like a 225/35/22 with a 3" sidewall. If you got bigger sidewalls, like a 50 series or so, the tire would be so tall that it would kill your mileage. I was in the Miata world for years, and everyone who got huge dubs complained that it ruined the ride (of one of the best handling cars in the world) and made it slower (due to the heavier wheels). There are some pretty nice looking 19" and 20" CX-5 wheels on this site- those seem like a reasonable compromise.

That's what I thought. Seeing as the Touring and Grand Touring models offer a 19" wheel, do you think a 19" wheel package would do the less "damage" in terms of MPG and overall driving performance? My last car (a 2000 Mustang GT) had 18" wheels with a small sidewall tire and the ride was totally thrown off. Even tho my mustang never drove great, the aftermarket wheels made it a lot worse on rough city streets here in Atlanta.

After reading heaps on here about upgrading the wheels on the CX5,I finally decided to change the OEM 17inch wheels to OEM Mazda6 2014 19 inch wheels.
There were a few reason's. I wanted 19's,but I didn't want the wheels to be too "showy", I liked the look/style/different silver colour of the Mazda6 19inch wheels.
I knew that the OEM Mazda6 wheels would have the same centre hub size, offset is only 45,width in Aust is 7 1/2,very little difference in total weight when fitting 235/55/19 tyres, and most important for me was that the speedo reading was virtually the same.
So here's a few pic's- hope you like the end results:

Very nice fitment u hav there . what are the specs for the OEM maz 6 19" ? is it the same as the 19" OEM cx 5 ? the wheels you have looks wider ???

Yes they are wider than OEM 19" CX5 wheels, and the offset is 45 compared to 50 on the CX5.

Looks great Moking :) I too like the look of the stock 19s. After the first set of tires are done I 'might' get a 3rd party rim. I'm even considering power coating the stock rims to a dark charcoal with matte finish.

Considering the same. I posted this a few days ago, body lowered a touch. I need to chew on this for a while. This would probably cost (Chicago) $450 total. Going 20s for summer with new tires, $2k. If I do either I want to be sure I'm going to like it for the long haul. Has anyone done winter tires on the stock 19s?

I'm thinking to do same to stock 19's, in a dark charcoal with glossy factory-like finish.

Love that bright blue! I wish they had some in the Chicago area, but the red is pretty nice too. Nice wheels as well.

When I will be replacing my wheels, one of the most important factor will be the weight of the wheel/tire combination. I don't want them to be more then the 17" from the factory, even if they will cost more. I may even go used, for some forged ones.

The wheels I ordered (TSW Sochi 20 x 8,5 ET 40 Rotary Forged with 245/45/20) are lesser weight as the stock 19 " with 225/55/19 on the CX-5 !!! (photos within 25 days from now on)

Ahh ic that is why the stance is soo much different :) CX 5 shouldve have the offset 45 hehehe

The stance is different indeed, the CX-5 has the ET 50 and not the ET 45 because of the height of the carros, a SUV is especialy in curve-handling (roundabouts) different than a lower carros, such as the Mazda 6.......

Hello, finally got my CX5! So far its been great
Ill post more detailed pictures this week
wheels are 20x9x30 offset, 265/40r20

Those wheels match the CX-5 better than almost every wheel I've seen on this forum. Props for good styling and proper sizing.
